We’ve heard about all the drama and fights for months now, and finally we get to see it with our own eyes tonight as the 3rd season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres on Bravo at 9/8c!
On the super-sized 1 hour 30 minutes premiere, Bravo gets right into the thick of things with the widely reported brawl that took place during the christening of Teresa Giudice’s nephew.
When looking back at that very ugly incident, both Teresa and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga have different takes on it. “I was screaming at the cameras to get out of my son’s christening,” says Melissa to the NY Post “I didn’t sleep for three days. I was devastated.”
On the premiere episode, Melissa says of Teresa, “That bitch will never miss a party, especially if someone else is paying for it.”
Melissa, who was able to watch the premiere episode with her husband Joe Gorga in advance reveals, “My husband and I were both gasping for air.” She told Joe, “Now the whole world is going to think you’re crazy as she is. He said, ‘Unbelievable. I can’t believe I have to go work tomorrow.’”
As for Teresa, she told Ryan Seacrest last week on his radio show that she “blacked out” during the drama. “It has to do with my family and it’s sad and it breaks my heart.” Teresa recounts, “I blacked out…what happened on the show, I could’ve never imaged it in a million years…me and my brother, we were like best friends, up until he got married.”
Teresa adds, “[Joe Gorga] started it…it was something that came from left field.”
Meanwhile other newbie Kathy Wakile has sort of taken a backseat thanks to the Teresa/Melissa feud. Below are brief bios of both Kathy and Melissa-
Kathy – A first cousin of Teresa, Kathy resides in Wayne, New Jersey with her husband of more than 19 years, Rich, and their two children, Victoria, 17, and Joseph, 15. Kathy works hard to keep her family’s world in order and carefully monitors her children’s social lives. However she loves to party and have a good time. Kathy and her family definitely live life to the fullest.
Melissa – Melissa is a sassy Italian who is known for her witty, fun, and loving personality. After graduating from New Jersey City University with a B.A. degree in education and psychology, she is now a stay at home mom whose life is all about her family. Melissa and Joe have been married for almost seven years and met while both were away on spring break in Cancun. They live in an ornate mansion that her husband, a successful real estate developer, built and Melissa decorated. Melissa and Joe have three beautiful children, Antonia, five, Gino, three, and Joey 11 months.

In the Season 3 opener titled “In The Name of The Father,” Kathy and Melissa gear up for a family christening while Jacqueline’s lunch with her daughter leaves a sour taste. Meanwhile, Caroline’s surprise gathering with her sons turns emotional; and Teresa serves up a cookbook in a bid to bring financial stability to her family.
