Now that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is coming to a close, the real drama is already starting off screen. The saga of Erika Jayne’s husband, Tom Girardi, and his alleged bamboozlement of orphans and widows has divided the Bravolebrity universe. The big question is: what did Erika know? Most of her counterparts have given her plenty of grace, while others aren’t buying it. As for Erika’s castmates, the ladies might support her to her face, but have questions behind her back. And the only one willing to ask Erika anything at all is Sutton Stracke. Who took a beating from Erika because of it.
But Sutton won’t back down. She recently spoke with Us Weekly on her thoughts. When asked if she thought Erika is a “liar”, Sutton responded, “Well, yeah ‘cause she lied. We know that. She will never admit that and I’m never gonna come off of how I see it.”
She continued about her questioning Erika, “There were just a few things that I was like, ‘Look, this is what I’ve heard.’ And so I was just bringing that up as a point. I don’t need to be vindicated at all. That’s not my nature. I don’t need to be proven right. I was just stating facts.”
As for Sutton offering to loan money to Erika, she explained the reality of what actually happened. Sutton clarified, “I wasn’t saying, ‘Let me write you a check right now.’ I was like, ‘If there comes a time when [and] if you need anything, I’m there for you.’ And, you know, she [said], ‘Thank you.’”

It’s been hard to watch a season of the ladies egging on Sutton, pushing her to be the only one questioning Erika. As in, everyone wants answers but no one wants to ask. Naturally, Sutton looks like the fall guy. But she’s taking it in stride for the most part. She concluded, “It’s funny because when you get to watch everything and see what’s kind of going on behind your back — not behind your back, but things that you’re not privy to, like, conversations that have gone on, it’s sort of like, ‘Well, wait a minute. But listen, it’s all good. I can only speak for myself. I can only say what I think. I’m not thrown to the wolves. I stand very firm.”
If only the other ladies had as much conviction as Sutton, this season would have gone down very differently. And maybe we wouldn’t have gotten answers – this is a legal case after all. But maybe we wouldn’t have gotten what appears to be lie after lie about Erika’s life. Let’s face it, she’s on a reality show. And by the looks of it, she is giving us anything but reality.
