When Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna first graced our screens as the fresh housewives on season 5 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills they were introduced as two really good friends from the soapstar universe making their leap into reality tv. Since Eileen left after season 7, Lisa continued to cement herself as an invaluable castmember at the heart of the drama, but it seems that she’s missing her sidekick.
ET recently spoke with both Eileen and Lisa about Eileen possibly rejoining the show. Whilst Lisa is all for her BFF to come back and hold a diamond, Eileen had a more nuanced response – “I think I would be OK visiting that world. I think it’s moved on. It’s kind of like being in high school, when you graduate everybody kind of goes their own way. I still have a lot of love and affection for all of them, but if you’re not in that world, I don’t know, it would be kind of weird trying to get back on that pony. I’m not sure.”

Whilst Eileen may feel like she graduated and is off the pony, Lisa had other ideas. She went on to say,”Come on, we would love Eileen to come back. I had the most fun of my entire run was when Eileen was there.” With Eileen more unsure about making a comeback, we may have to settle with seeing the duo reunite and go back to their soapland roots on their new show “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem”.
Eileen was a great housewife who had the glitz and glam of the showbiz Beverly Hills career but also a likeable down to earth calm demeanor to contrast and compliment Lisa’s energizer bunny personality. And who can forget Eileen being on the surprising receiving end of the wrath of Erika Girardi over dinner in Hong Kong? Given the recent events of other dinner table takedowns by Erika, I’m sure Eileen would not want to repeat that experience but it would be fascinating to see her come back into the mix and what her role and response would be to the current drama. She’s still good friends with a lot of the cast (including Erika), and has always had a good response from the fans, so maybe it’s time for her to get back on the pony.
