Bienvenida a Miami and can I just say, FINALLY! It looks like Bravo is in talks to breathe new life into Real Housewives of Miami. RHOM used to be a thing but if you blinked, you missed it. The show was born in 2011 and introduced us to a few names we still hear about now and then. Most recently, Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps caught some flack about hanging out with Marysol Patton and Alexia Echevarria. Miami alum Lisa Hochstein was in the news for racking up some fines after partying during the pandemic
Miami came to an end in 2013 for reasons we really don’t know. Andy Cohen implied it was due to the death of Marysol’s mother, Mama Elsa. He also said ratings had dropped off towards the end of the third season, so it was given the axe. Thankfully, reboots have become a thing and Miami could get another shot. Word on the street is Bravo is bringing back the franchise and returning us to palm trees and blue seas. But, will this be like re-gifting or getting a whole new present?
It has been eight years since Bravo decided to pull the plug on RHOM. There are quite a few people who didn’t even know Miami had a franchise. Much like Real Housewives of DC, it was there until it wasn’t. In November 2020, Andy teased a possible Peacock pickup of the old Miami shows, but they are available to binge watch on Bravo if you have cable. You might want to get on that because some of the old cast could make a comeback.
According to Us Weekly, it might be time to grab the Bain de Soleil for the St. Tropez tan. Andy said fans of RHOM are “still very vocal” about a comeback, which is why he has been “an advocate” about a fourth season premiering on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock. After Bravo aired a marathon, on Instagram, a viewer asked Marysol if the cast was coming back and she replied, “You never know.”

Lisa is also up for a return, which is not at all surprising. This one loves to be on camera. She also alluded to something going down when she told a fan on social media that a new season is “very possible”. Multi-lingual and underrated diva Adriana de Moura told a follower “if the stars would align”, the cast would come back. An insider shared, “They [Bravo] have started interviewing a bunch of different women. They want to have a very diverse cast and are speaking to women from all different backgrounds.”
The source added a few potential cast members have already been interviewed “several times” and the network is getting “very close to narrowing down a cast”. Makes me wonder if Larsa Pippen will be sniffing around since the Kardashians won’t let her on their show anymore. Maybe we can find out exactly when Larsa morphed into Brielle Biermann. Wendy Williams also told Andy in no uncertain terms she would be interested in coming along as Larsa’s “friend”. That would be a real kick in the pants for NeNe Leakes, huh?

Are you up for another go with the Miami ladies? Who do you want to come back? Lea Black still has a heavy presence on Bravo via Flipping Out’s Jeff Lewis’ radio program but it appears she’s not interested in returning. Never say never though because minds tend to change when cameras are involved. Bravo has yet to release a statement. So, stay tuned to see if we have a solid reason to grab the sunscreen.
