Remember when everyone was concerned that Season 10 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would be boring without Lisa Vanderpump? The “OG” Housewife decided to put the show in her rear view after the tedious “puppy gate” scandal.
Viewers speculated that RHOBH was a snooze-fest because Camille Grammer, who was thought to be done with the show, was once again filming. Camille swooped in again to save the day! Give that woman her diamond! And Beverly Hills alums Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville also filmed for the upcoming season.
It seems that the war of words between Brandi and Denise Richards about their alleged hookup will be the new puppy gate a hot topic. And now two new Housewives are also in the mix, which will only add to the drama. Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais are set to debut in Season 10.
In a statement to Bravo’s The Daily Dish in August, Garcelle said, “I am excited and proud to be joining the cast of such a wildly popular and beloved show like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As a working actor who has been in the industry for some time, it’s exhilarating to have the opportunity to delve into a new chapter in the entertainment spectrum,” she stated. “As the first African American Housewife in the Beverly Hills franchise, I am honored and humbled by this awesome opportunity to exemplify the fact that Black Girl Magic lives and thrives in every zip code!”

Garcelle recently spoke to People about her reasons for joining the reality show. “I feel like, ‘Why not?’ I wanted to do something outside of the box — it is sort of like my midlife crisis. Instead of buying a Corvette or doing something crazy, I joined the Housewives,” Garcelle remarked with a laugh. Some people might say that joining RHOBH is crazy. The Corvette may be a safer choice. Just saying.
Garcelle has already learned a thing or two about being a Housewife. She explained that she “can’t let [her] guard down.” The actress added, “Because one minute they are laughing with you, and the next minute they are throwing you under the bus. I’m like, ‘We were just cracking up!’” Welcome to RHOBH, Garcelle!

“It is really interesting for me, because as an actor you are a character, so it’s really weird to show up and just be me. So I’m just going along for the ride and seeing how it goes,” Garcelle shared. She is well-known for her acting roles on television shows NYPD Blue and The Jamie Foxx Show.
Garcelle is already longtime friends with co-stars Lisa Rinna and Denise. But the mother of three did learn something surprising about herself during filming RHOBH. Garcelle revealed that she is “a lot more sensitive than I thought I was. I put up this tough exterior all of the time, I do my thing, I’m an independent woman,” Garcelle stated. “And I find myself… I got emotional on the show a few times. I was surprised that could happen so quickly for me.”
