Brace yourselves. Real Housewives of New York Season 11 might be more explosive than last season. Barbara Kavovit joins the returning ladies as a Friend of the Housewives. She doesn’t seem to be afraid of the drama. Barbara argues with Dorinda Medley in the trailer. This woman stepped into the ring with Heavyweight Champion of the World Dorinda and lived to tell the tale. However, not everyone is receptive to the newest face on the show.
The Ramona Coaster is back in full swing, and poor Barbara is in the warpath. The Singer Stinger is back and striking once again. The first thing to remember is Ramona Singer DOES NOT want anyone that might outshine her new on the show or anyone from the past to return. Ramona has NO time for Barbara. Apparently, there’s not enough Pinot Grigio in New York City for the both of them.
Ramona recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and made her opinion of Barbara VERY clear. Ramona remarked, “She’s not a housewife. She’s just a friend, so she’s not a housewife. So I don’t even know what she is. I don’t want to talk about it. They’re not giving her an apple. They’re not giving her an apple or anything.” Ramona eviscerated Barbara and tossed her into the RHONY graveyard. RIP.
Naturally, none of Ramona’s comments sat well with Barbara. She clapped back at the OG using one of her famous lines against her in an interview with AOL. Barbara said, “Not surprised at Ramona’s response considering she’s nasty and condescending to most.” Ramona has been long criticized by her costars for stinging below the belt.
Barbara wasn’t done there. She continued with, “She’s someone who doesn’t support other women, even though she brags she does.” Ramona famously used that line against Bethenny Frankel last season. The hilarious phone call featured Ramona and her crazy eyes trashing Bethenny while outside on the street corner.

Before ending the interview, Barbara had one last message for Ramona. “Who would say something like this on camera or off? Not a good look! One thing I learned from growing up in the Bronx and being a boss lady in construction, I demolish at the job site but I don’t tear other people down.” Barbara is NOT the one to play with. She’s giving us Mob Wives energy and we’re a little obsessed already.
We are 11 seasons into the Real Housewives of New York City and Ramona is still bringing the heat. It’s possible Ramona hit a nerve with her comments. After all, Barbara did film the entire season with the cast only to NOT be given an apple. Ramona read her for filth very publicly pointing out that Barbara the Builder was not a housewife this season. Can we fix it? Yes, we can! Barbara just has to keep up the energy and give us a reason to invest in her.

Hopefully, Barbara makes a splash on camera as well as off. She looks like a promising addition based on the trailer, but we won’t know until it airs. Between newcomer Barbara, a Jill Zarin cameo, and Bethenny fighting with Luann de Lesseps again, we’re ecstatic. We’re coming off one of the best seasons in Real Housewives history so the bar is high for the ladies to deliver.
