Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Kim Richards Opens Up About Rehab, Show Drama, And Her “Amazing Journey”

I'll be honest, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been riddled with ladies with some serious issues which can make viewing uncomfortable.  Case in point?  The sometimes slurring, lethargic, and loopy Kim Richards was often painful to watch.  Even after seeking help, she still seemed out-of-it and appeared to be on a downward spiral.  For me, that's not entertainment.

However, Kim recently admitted that being accountable to family, friends, and fans has put added (positive) pressure to stay sober.  She seems fresher, brighter, and more grounded than the Kim we've grown accustomed to on the Bravo hit.  Seriously…it's a video interview, and she looks and sounds like a new lady.  Thank goodness, and here's hoping she continues to get better!

Speaking to OMG, Kim shares that rehab has helped her heal and grow.  She states, "I have been on an amazing journey."

When asked if there was an expectation from Bravo for the ladies to amp up drama and cattiness, Kim doesn't give a straight answer.  She will only say, "I can tell you that today, I set a boundary in every kind of way."

Kim reveals that none of her friends or co-stars came to visit her during her rehab stint.  She shares, "No, nobody knew where I was.  I went there to work on me.  I was in a complete depression by the time I got there.  I suffered immensely from anxiety and panic disorders so from the time I got there they were way out of control."

While Kim won't confirm whether she's back in full force for the upcoming RHOBH, she has been spotted filming.  However, she has promised herself that she won't engage in any of the ugliness from past season.  Kim explains, "If we take each other all the way down, there won't be anybody left at the end of the day," adding, "I think it was a perfect example of what happened to me.  I wasn't going to make it anymore, and that's just sad."

In the past, Kim has expressed regret about appearing on the show, but now she's has changed her tune and touts the show to getting her to the place she is now.  She concludes, "I would do it again. I have grown.  I don't know if I would be the person I am today…I don't take it for granted."

I do wish the best for Kim.  I may not always like how she acts, and she's perfected playing the victim, but I hate to watch anyone suffer.
