Who cares about the Vanderpump Rules reboot? According to Leva Bonaparte, Southern Hospitality has more than enough drama to fill the void.
On paper, she’s totally correct. The show was built with the blueprint of Pump Rules. It’s a spinoff of a successful Bravo show. It has a good-looking and messy-acting crew of employees. Look out Lisa Vanderpump! Leva might be coming for your gig.
Is Southern Hospitality the new Pump Rules?
While Bravo tries to find the new generation of SUR-vers, Leva told Us Weekly that Southern Hospitality could easily satisfy our cravings. You know she probably spent the whole summer hoping for VPR’s downfall so her show could truly shine.
“I definitely think it could be a great void,” Leva teased. “I always say that I think it’s sort of the love child of a Below Deck and Vanderpump because the club is so vastly different from a restaurant. It’s not like we’re a lounge. We are a full-fledged nightclub.”
So far, Southern Hospitality has followed more in the footsteps of Pump Rules. Seasons 1 and 2 both delivered rocky friendships and messy relationship drama. Bravo just dropped the trailer for Season 3, which teased big drama and a few new faces. Leva promised that they would bring it.
“I think with these kids, they just don’t give a sh-t,” Leva said of her SUR-vers, or whatever you want to call them.
She explained, “They’re like, ‘The president [elect] is a reality TV star. There’s no limit to what I can do. If I want to shake my tits and ass on TV or say something crazy, I can do whatever. There’s no glass ceiling for me.’ They’re very authentic.”
So, we can thank Pump Rules and Donald Trump for paving the way for the Southern Hospitality crew. Let’s see if they can stay on TV for just as long.
Season 3 of Southern Hospitality premieres on Thursday, January 2, at 9/8c on Bravo.
