Dorinda Medley Says Bethenny Frankel Should Change Slogan From “BStrong To BNice”

It seems like (almost) every Housewife is turning on Bethenny Frankel this season on Real Housewives of New York. Most of the ladies have reached a breaking point and I don’t blame them. From the constant Skinnygirl promotion to the condescending comments, it seems like a lot to take on.

Then again, they are all paid to hang out, so I don’t feel that bad for anyone in this social circle. Plus, now we are blessed with some hilarious Bethenny-inspired shade from Dorinda Medley.

Dorinda opened up about Bethenny’s edit on the show, the nutcracker controversy, and Sonja Morgan’s dress “accidentally” coming untied during Luann de Lesseps’ cabaret performance during an episode of the Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald podcast.

Dorinda did not hold back. She explained, “It’s like Jaws. Just as soon as you think it’s safe to go back in the water with Bethenny Frankel, you lose a leg.”

Heather McDonald asked, “Who do you think gets edited in the best light on the show?” Without hesitation, Dorinda responded with, “Who do you think gets edited in the best light on the show? Bethenny. Do I need to answer that?” She added, “It’s an obvious question. She gets edited the best, of course.” Maybe she’s bribing the editors with free Skinnygirl products.

Dorinda proposed, “I think she needs to change her thing from BStrong to BNice. Shade.” Pretty much everyone else in the cast would agree with that sentiment.

Dorinda continued, “What about when she says ‘I put the B in Berkshires’? It’s my house. No, I put everything into the Berkshires. That is my shit, my home. I created it. It is mine.” Exactly. She cooked. She decorated. She made it nice. What did Bethenny do for the Berkshires? She called Luann a slut and asked everyone if they understood the corny joke on her Christmas sweater 97783838 times.

Dorinda explained the impact of Bethenny’s insults: “In today’s day and age when we live in a really tenuous situation, where you have to be very careful. We have to make sure that we lift up women. Words like ‘whore,’ ‘loser,’ ‘drunk,’ ‘idiot,’ ‘moron,’ that doesn’t work. Maybe it was cute six years ago when you could use humor to hurt people. I use laughter to make people feel better about themselves. Especially since we have daughters, these are words I don’t think I’ve ever said to women.”

Dorinda was asked about Bethenny unfollowing almost every person in the cast. She said, “I’m following Bethenny. I think. I don’t follow anybody… not that I know of.” For the record, as of this moment, Dorinda is not following Bethenny.

Dorinda said, “She unfollowed us. She unfollowed us on Twitter and Instagram She unfollowed me, Ramona [Singer], Carole [Radziwill], and I think Luann, right? Which I find very odd since we’re all on a show, but I guess we all like to play kindergarten games.” As of this moment, Bethenny is only following Sonja and Tinsley Mortimer– which is pretty random. Bethenny and Tinsley don’t seem to get along at all.

And then Dorinda discussed the nutcracker controversy. Just in case anyone forgot this is what happened: Bethenny wanted to get a giant nutcracker for her daughter for Christmas, but she couldn’t find it anywhere. Dorinda managed to locate one from across the country. Dorinda doesn’t feel like Bethenny was thankful and Bethenny felt like Dorinda was overreacting.

Dorinda explained, “She didn’t say ‘thank you.’ She said ‘I’m grateful.’ Just say ‘thank you.’ That was my contact I called up. They called up every division across the United States. I was like ‘You have to find this.’ Yes, ultimately the guy found it, but here’s the thing: it’s not even about that. Did all of us go to kindergarten? Don’t we say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’? That’s it. No more to be said.”

Then the conversation shifted from Bethenny to Sonja. Dorinda said, “Here’s the thing: I don’t really know Sonja that well. I never knew her before the show.” Dorinda emphasized their lack of relationship when she said, “I’ve never had a dinner with Sonja outside of the show. Or a lunch.”

Dorinda was asked if she likes Sonja’s dancing and she said “no” immediately. Heather asked about that now-infamous cabaret performance when Sonja’s dress “accidentally” came off. Dorinda told her, “I can show you four episodes where she wears the same dress with the slip tie. It’s a whole setup.”

Heather asked, “You think she untied it?” Dorinda answered, “Absolutely. That’s planned.” Dorinda added, “She wore the dress that season when she had the art show at her townhouse. She did the same thing.” Dorinda concluded, “If it works, she keeps using it.”

Tonight is an all new episode of The Real Housewives of New York and it’s going to be a sad one. Tonight’s episode will heavily focus on the death of Bobby Zarin.

“Tinsley tries on wedding dresses with her mother, Dale. While Luann is ending her stint in rehab, the women tough it out during a prison style workout. A few of the ladies attend the funeral for Bobby Zarin, and Bethenny and Jill Zarin share an intimate moment after the funeral, for the first time in years.
