Welcome back for the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 6 recap, where Namaste is no more. On this week’s episode, titled “Margs & Marriage,” friendships and relationships are equally put to the test. As a result, we’re now going to need some tutors to head over to the greater Tenafly area, because neither of these ‘ships are passing. So, go ahead and pour yourself a heavily spiked iced coffee in a wine glass, to help you properly relive all things RHONJ Season 14, Episode 6.
She said, she said
Antonia Gorga phones home, telling her parents that she’s majoring in Business Management. When Melissa jokes about her daughter’s possible plans to franchise Envy, Antonia refuses to comment. Joe laughs.
Afterwards, Melissa tells Joe that she’s tired. You see, last week’s Bougie Brunch was “dramatic,” and she’s over it. On top of being mad at Teresa and Jennifer, they’re also stressing out over Jackie, as she is becoming friends with the other side.
Speaking of Teresa, Jackie pops over, and in Teresa’s kitchen, they joke about setting people up. No shade exists here though. They’re talking about Jackie’s son and Teresa’s daughter.
At Melissa’s, she tells Joe that Teresa’s only here for Jackie because Jackie is turning on Marge. “You know the saying is, what can you do for me lately,” Joe poetically-ish responds.
As for Teresa, she tells Jackie that she’s glad she is finally standing in her power.
Meanwhile, Margaret dials in from Charleston, eager to learn about how the brunch went. Rachel happily pours Margaret some hverbal tea, laughing about how Teresa called John a parking attendant. At this, Marge quips “Isn’t her husband unemployed, mooching off of her?”
Oop.
Oh no, Paulie
Dolores and Paulie are up next, and things seem tense here. They order, and Dolores brings up her costars concerns over when these two are getting engaged. Paulie tells her that even if his divorce happens right now, it doesn’t mean that he’s going to immediately propose.
Dolores tells him that she might not be able to wait, and here, Paulie turns “nasty.” He’s not a fan of this pressure, and he tells her to do whatever she needs to do. These might be the first splinters we see in Dolores and Paulie’s relationship. Everyone just has to remember, this sort of thing is normal; a happy future could and hopefully does still lie ahead for the two.
Golfing and gabbing
Margaret organizes a charity event with “her best girlfriends that are hard workers.” This means Rachel, Melissa, and Dolores. After serving mocktails to the golfers, they sit down to chat. On the green, Melissa tells the group that she is moving forward with Jennifer.
Across town, Jennifer and Jenn meet up for margarita’s. Here, Jennifer also tells Jenn that she and Melissa are moving forward. Naturally, Jenn is curious about how this is making Teresa feel. Jennifer tells her that Teresa is fine, but deep down, she’s sure that it likely stings.
Back at the charity event, Dolores tells the group about her fight with Paulie. Margaret tells her that she got married right after her own ink dried, so Paulie needs to stop playin’.
While golfing, Paulie tells the guys about this issue as well. Joe takes to his confessional, joking that his bruh’s divorce is taking so long because Paulie’s not a big thinker, about anything. The men then put a tee in John’s butt crack for their next putt.
Lights, camera, fashion
Danielle’s clothing line finally hits the runways of New York Fashion Week. Melissa arrives with her cousin, and she gushes over how big this is for Danielle. She’s proud of her costar, and she’s “happy to support her.”
Backstage, Danielle’s stressing. Thankfully, her show goes well, and if you ask me, her tiny models werked it. Afterwards, Danielle cries happy tears, telling us all to “dream as big as you can, and don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.”
I’m telling my husband this. He won’t let me Uber a cake slice to our home right now.
The double date from hell
At the Fuda’s, John’s telling Rachel that he wants a proper apology from Teresa. He’s hoping to get this at dinner, as these two couples are now going to meet up. What could go wrong?
They meet up, and Teresa points to a gift that she’s brought for her brother, which she’d like for John to deliver on her behalf. John nods, and then he brings up the drug dealer bit. Teresa tries explaining that she was talking about his past, yet, John and Rachel are still mad that this story was made public.
Teresa apologizes, but John doesn’t think it’s genuine. He further tells them his story, and then restates that he needs an apology.
Well, now Teresa wants one as well, because John threw the first punch, by talking poorly about Luis’ business last season. Clearly, neither one backs down. Angrily, John and Rachel excuse themselves from the table, as John yells, “You’re the poster child for mortgage fraud,” adding, “when I need my money laundered, I’ll call ya.”
Teresa sweetly bids him well, saying “See ya John Fugazi!” She also tells him that she is not the one to mess with, but John’s activated, reminding her that he loves a good fight, so bring it. “Drug dealer,” Teresa yells at his retreating backside, as the first TO BE CONTINUED of the season lights up the screen…
