The season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has shown Kyle Richards and her marriage to Mauricio Umansky in the spotlight after rumors started going around that there was trouble in paradise. Between keeping track of Kyle’s possible lesbian romance with Morgan Wade and Mo strutting about Aspen with some young college-age friends, it has been hard to keep up. But a recent episode of the 90210 franchise showed a glimpse into some of the issues that Kyle has been having, including Mauricio’s DMs with other women. Let me just say I don’t think she is wrong for feeling the way she does.
What Was the Fight About?
While out in Ojai, CA, which looked to have the cutest little shops, Kyle spilled the beans to her girls about a recent fight that had made her blood boil. As the women who lunch usually do, they decided to play a card game. Basically, a more grown-up version of Never Have I Ever. Sutton Stracke‘s card read, “What is appropriate for husbands when it comes to communicating with other women on social media?” God, that’s a loaded question, if I’ve ever heard one.
Kyle perked up, sharing, “Murder. I’ve had, like, a fight with Mo over that. I hate that.” The mother of four daughters added at the time, “Liking people’s photos, following people—you don’t do that.” Listen, I agree with Kyle; there is a line you just don’t cross.
Who Was The Woman?
It seems like it isn’t just about one woman so much as the plethora of “fu*king a*sholes out there.” It doesn’t come as a surprise that the house husbands are targeted with porn-like messages or women hoping to lure them away from their wives. Over the years, Mo has come across as a pretty solid husband, as he always showed support. Still, something is definitely up, and I don’t think it was a one-time offense that The Agency founder has been liking another woman’s photos.
During her stern confessional, Kyle shared that “Mo gets a lot of DMs from women. They don’t care that he’s married, and they’re always the aggressor.” It seems Kyle expected more from her husband of 27 years, but it also feels like there was a breach of trust. Even though she didn’t elaborate on the fight, Kyle did note, “But also, you don’t have to follow every single person and like all their photos. I don’t like that at all.”
Why Fans Aren’t Backing Kyle
There have always been rumors of Mo’s infidelity, but nothing has ever been proven. Most recently, Kyle has been under the microscope for her close friendship with country singer, Morgan Wade. Even though Kyle isn’t always a favorite among RHOBH viewers, many feel empathy for her situation. It isn’t fun to get thoughts stuck in your head that your husband is cheating on you. During the after-show, Kyle shared she felt that Instagram was “the worst for relationships, and I think it’s terrible.” Like many others, Kyle believes that DMing or liking a photo while you’re married is disrespectful, and she isn’t wrong.
However, fans are seeing a different side with one writing: “Kyle has always been possessive & jealous with Mauricio & he has for the most part been respectful to their marriage. I don’t buy this new Kyle this season! Think it’s all an act & for attention.” It doesn’t seem many viewers are buying Kyle’s upset wife act and are making sure to point out she, too, is going out having fun. Another annoyed follower added, “Ima be real Kyle is the biggest hypocrite in the world. U have literally turned into a shadow of Morgan, and u mad that this guy is liking Instagram pics.”
I think Kyle has the higher ground, as no photos have surfaced of her out on dates or partying topless in Aspen. All I’ve seen right now is Kyle hanging out with a close friend. Mo, however, Mo is possibly in his fu*kboy phase, and Kyle is not pleased.
