It’s crazy to think that at this point, Naomie Olindo and Craig Conover have been broken up longer than they were ever together. These two dated on Southern Charm for nearly 3 years before breaking up in September of 2017. Craig is now dating his Winter House castmate, Paige DeSorbo. Naomie, on the other hand, is single and ready to mingle after breaking up with Metul Shah in a blaze of glory.
During the opening episode of Southern Charm Season 8, fans learned that Craig and Naomie shared a Vegas hook-up off camera. Questions arose about the timing of the rendezvous, but Craig set the record straight quickly and explained it all happened “months” before he and Paige were exclusive.
Craig has also shared that “seeing” Naomie in Vegas was the “closure [he] didn’t know [he] needed” and that he was finally able to understand she just isn’t his “person.”
In an interview with People, Naomie shared a similar sentiment about the Vegas hook-up. “Neither one of us ever thought we would get back together,” she said. “This happened a year ago now and it was sort of a one or two-off situation where you just know each other and you’re comfortable around each other and you have some fun.”
“It was almost like, a bit of closure at the same time because we had been together for so long and now we finally had a friendship again now that so much time had passed,” Naomie continued. “But really, it was nothing more than that.”
Naomie seems to have learned the hard way that what happens in Vegas, does not say in Vegas. Especially when it’s with these gossipy “good old boys” from Southern Charm. “I didn’t realize it was going to be such a big deal,” she explained. “I’d been gone for the show in a year and I kind of thought at first I was going to be able to come back and it would fly under the radar and nobody would know. But, it turns out with our group of friends, nothing really works like that. So yeah… what happens in Vegas was discussed a lot.”
