“Nice try though.” That’s what Dr. Lenny Hochstein said in a smug response to rumors that he was stepping out on wife Lisa Hochstein. The Real Housewives of Miami star reportedly caught her husband out with his new girlfriend, Katharina Mazepa. A few days later, he came clean and admitted that he was splitting from Lisa and was already dating Katharina. But he claimed that Lisa not only knew about the divorce, but knew about Katharina as well. Now it’s Lisa’s turn to say “nice try though.”
Lisa told Page Six that she was blindsided by his announcement of divorce. And wasn’t aware that he was already involved with Katharina. Said Lisa, “Since finding out just two weeks ago, my priority remains the same – our children. As a mother, their happiness, safety and protection from all of this remain my ultimate priority.” Lisa and Lenny share two young children. She added, “Unfortunately, this is a case of a man lying to two women at the same time.”
Lisa went on, “I don’t blame [Katharina] for what’s happening, we all choose different paths to get ahead in life. I feel blindsided by a man I’ve dedicated my life to.” According to Katharina’s statement, she claimed that Lisa knew as well. She recently stated, “I was informed Lisa was fully aware that he was going out with me. In fact, he is going to great lengths to protect his family and do right by everyone involved in this difficult process.” Katharina, who is going through her own marital separation, also maintained that she would never go “for a man who is happily married.”
A close friend of Lisa’s corroborated that Lisa was in the dark about what Lenny was up to. The friend shared, “She isn’t directly aware of any divorce talk but can assume the direction it’s going since he hasn’t been hiding anything. She hasn’t been served any papers and hasn’t been aware that that’s the case and is just focusing on her children.”
But Lenny is sticking to his story that Lisa knew. He stated in an email to Page Six, “She was not blindsided and we were sleeping in separate bedrooms.” As for his quick about face when he previously denied their break up? Lenny explained, “A few weeks ago, I denied this because I am trying my best to protect my family during this process.” What a strange way to protect your family. By surprising your wife with a divorce announcement in the press after getting caught out with your new girlfriend? Nice try, though.
Regardless, Lenny has more problems than just this romantic mess he created. Since 2019, the plastic surgeon has been sued 5 times for medical malpractice. The latest suit was just filed a few days ago.
