Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip is like the best early Christmas present ever. A gang of all-star Real Housewives all under one roof, partying and living their best life for the cameras to capture. Of course, with a crew like this, there’s always drama, but that’s what makes it fun. And, for once, the ladies are allowed to break the fourth wall and give all the details about what it’s really like to be a star.
Kyle Richards went solo to rep Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as all of the other ladies at least had one person from their show joining them. She and Melissa Gorga got along swimmingly. Cynthia Bailey, not so much, but Kyle seemed fine. They talked trash about Lisa Vanderpump so clearly she was in her company. But in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kyle revealed that RHUGT made her appreciate her RHOBH co-stars a little more. Yeah, because the ladies on RHUGT know that drama is a part of the show. The ladies in Beverly Hills are masters at sweeping things under the rug.
Kyle said that she truly loves the women she works with, even though fans sometimes question that. “I know we argue, but I really love all these women. And you know, some of us obviously are closer than others, but we have an incredible cast,” Kyle began. Yeah, Fox Force Five or whatever. I’d love to hear Garcelle Beauvais or Sutton Stracke chime in on this. Of course, Kyle likes the comfort of the mean girl’s gang. She added that RHUGT taught her the other shows weren’t the same as hers. “They all feel like they have to watch their backs. They don’t trust anybody,” Kyle added. “Our production doesn’t work like that.”

Kyle’s friends and family have always been central to the RHOBH, seemingly now more than ever (thanks to Kathy Hilton), so it’s no surprise she’s comfortable. But it also confirms my complaints that the RHOBH girls will do anything to protect each other, even if it’s bringing up trivial issues to divert attention off of what’s really going on. In Real Housewives of Atlanta or Real Housewives of New Jersey, they don’t play like that.
“[The RHUGT girls] were all telling me they don’t trust anybody,” Kyle added. “My girls from Beverly Hills were checking on me when I was there. ‘Are you OK? Is everything good?’ Like, they’re like sisters to me.” I wonder if any of those texts came from Erika Jayne after Kyle’s flip-flopping attitude toward her mountain of legal problems last season. Something tells me Erika reciprocates her friendship a little differently, considering she’s the sun in her world and we all just orbit around it.
