Eboni K. Williams has been having a great freshman season on Real Housewives of New York. The television host and attorney is the franchise’s first Black Housewife. While Eboni and RHONY co-star Leah McSweeney are besties, Eboni has had a bumpy road with some of the other ladies. I give Eboni bonus points for putting up with some of their nonsense.
During the girls’ trip to the Hamptons, Ramona Singer referred to her staff as “the help.” Eboni called her out and explained why the comment was inappropriate.
When Luann de Lesseps brought up the topic of education and how it related to people using vulgar language, Eboni disagreed. Then she mentioned that she was the most educated person there. Luann called Eboni “angry” and asked her to leave. Luann apologized and told Eboni that she deserved an apology also. Eboni stood her ground and didn’t say sorry. She went on Instagram Live after that episode aired, and shared that she was taking a break from social media for two weeks.
Eboni has forged a delightful bond with Sonja Morgan. The attorney felt that Sonja wasn’t always treated well by her co-stars. And Sonja often dwells in the past, which annoys Ramona and Luann. Eboni stated, “In the name of whatever, we are moving forward, my dear, because there is such beauty ahead for Sonja and we really work to get her to see that this season.” During the most recent episode of RHONY, Leah and Eboni took Sonja boxing with Martin to help her feel better about herself. And Leah and Eboni cheered on Sonja.
According to Reality Blurb!, Eboni dished on her co-stars on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. “Sonja Morgan shocked me the most,” Eboni shared. “And it wasn’t the townhouse first episode.” During their first meeting, Sonja pointed out how diverse her Koi fish were. That was so awkward.

“She shocked me because as you’re seeing in real-time, like where we are right now, episodically, this Hamptons trip is where I started to see Sonja and she started to see me,” Eboni remarked.“I’ll tell you where I think it really started. It was in the sprinter when we were all going to the wine tasting, ” she said. “And, you know, I don’t know any of these women that well, other than Leah McSweeney, so I’m getting to know them. And I’m listening to this conversation between Luann de Lesseps and Sonja, and it’s kind of breaking my heart,” Eboni commented.
The newbie Housewife felt that she needed to step in and help Sonja because Luann was “coming for Sonja’s jugular.” Afterward, Eboni said that Sonja knew that she “saw her value.” I’m glad that Eboni is helping Sonja boost her self-esteem.

Eboni continued, “Fast forward to the Breakfast at Tiffany’s dinner, and I just can’t even tell you how much fun Sonja and I had down there at the end of the table, just kiki-ing it all night together and just being ridiculous.” And poor Ramona was traumatized by the sex talk. Really, Ramona?
“And then you’ll see in an episode, I’m not really sure when this conversation is going to air, but you’ll see in episode six where we just like start seeing each other on a very spiritual level,” Eboni added.
