Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna starred together on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They started out as friends, but ended as adversaries, though it’s safe to say LVP didn’t retain many friendships from RHOBH. Vanderpump’s last season revolved around a dog adopted from her rescue facility by Dorit Kemsley that ultimately didn’t fit in her new home.
After being accused of leaking rumors to mags, LVP was ganged up on by the cast and stood alone in her defense. LVP quit the show and ditched the reunion, but didn’t want her dog rescue legacy tainted by the puppy formally known as Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy. Season 9 offered viewers a taste of a potential new show centered around Lisa’s rescue organization, Vanderpump Dogs. At the time Rinna felt if LVP got another spinoff, she should profit from the proceeds. Lisa might think in the game of life, it’s Rinna take all – but LVP is not playing this match.
Dorit paved the road that would eventually lead to LVP’s exit, but Dorit certainly didn’t take Vanderpump down herself. LVP might have left in 2019, but the very old and tired Battle of the Lisas, Lisa vs Lipsa 2.0 rages on. ET Online recently sat down with the former star of RHOBH, current star of Overserved With Lisa Vanderpump, Vanderpump Rules, and what do you know – current star of Vanderpump Dogs as well. Ouch, Rinna, does that hurt?
Lisa’s last stand on Housewives had drama centered around whether or not Lisa ratted out Dorit for accidentally dropping a dog adopted from her facility at a kill shelter. Somehow Dorit’s lack of awareness managed to turn her into an epic victim and LVP into a master manipulator. And we’re still waiting to find out who leaked what to Radar Online. Lisa said, “Well, that was one, one of the things that we really do try to do is, stop dogs from ending up in shelters, you know? So that whole situation was unfortunate.” Meanwhile, LVP moved on and her rescue show is off and running. But that’s nothing compared to the running Rinna’s mouth did when the show idea was being considered.

Rinna said, “I’m a hustler. I make no bones about that. I think you get paid for what you do. So my feeling is, if we indeed are servicing a spinoff, we should be paid for it. I am so happy for all of us to use this platform for makeup lines, bathing suit lines, network TV shows, restaurants, [charities], clothing lines, fitness empires, you name it. I support these women, 100 percent. But if you are going to use our services without telling us — that we are playing out a storyline to launch a pilot for a new show and you don’t compensate us extra for that — yeah, I’m a hustler. I get paid for what I do. So, if this indeed becomes another show, my lawyer will be calling.” Okay girl, so are you going to get a cell by Erika Jayne if she goes down?
Once Vanderpump Dogs was greenlit, Rinna went off. “I was right all along. Everyone lied to my face about this and here we are. So, maybe you’ll believe me this time around,” she said. LVP was nonplussed, because it’s Rinna. She said, “Well, does everybody — do they deserve a check for Overserved as well? Because that was [also filmed] at my house. What’s that got to do with anything? You know, I don’t know who says that. I have fond memories of Housewives. My favorite tagline was, ‘I’m passionate about dogs, just not crazy about b**ches.'”

For those keeping track at home, Rinna is not receiving money for LVP’s dog show. No word on whether or not Rinna also demands equal labeling on Kyle Richards’ caftan collection or is mentioned on any of Erika’s number one Billboard hit songs as a producer. Looks like her money grab didn’t work out this time, but she should take her own advice and “don’t hustle the hustler“.
