Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s main storyline on Real Housewives of Orange County (aside from sticking her tongue down Tamra Judge’s throat) was the fact that she and Sean Burke have seven kids together.
We didn’t get to know all of the kids, but we did hear a lot about their daughter Rowan Windham-Burke, her struggles with her mental health as a dancer, and her line of dance apparel that her parents funded. Rowan recently lashed out at her mom via Instagram, which is very Generation Z of her.
The Instagram account Real Housewives Confessionals shared a screenshot of a post Rowan shared with the the caption “Fuck. You. Mom.” Wow. I would never even imagine doing this. The nerve.
Now that Braunwyn is a reality TV star, that post was obviously very public, unlike the fights the rest of us have with our parents in private. Then again, I’ve never beefed with a parental figure on social media.

In response to that post, Braunwyn shared an Instagram Story. She wrote, “Our family asks for your understanding as we work through some challenging circumstances. 45 million Americans will experience mental health issues.”
The Orange County Housewife continued, “This [affects] almost every family, and ours is no different. We will share with you more when the time is right.”

Why though? Her daughter is not a public figure, despite having 1.5 storylines on Real Housewives of Orange County last season. Maybe giving her some bit of privacy this one time would help the situation. Everything doesn’t need to be a talking point on social media or a reality TV storyline.
“We kindly ask for your grace and kindness, and thank everyone for their support,” Braunwyn concluded.
