This week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills offered a little bit of everything. An impractical designer car, Erika Jayne kneed in the head(!), an ugly political debate and the story of the courageous survival of Lisa Rinna’s mother Lois Rinna at the hands of a serial killer. And for good measure, surprise cameo appearances by Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton. Whew! It seems like Bravo threw in everything but the kitchen sink. Only because they probably couldn’t salvage it from Lisa Vanderpump’s high end kitchen remodel!
One thing we did not see, however, was LVP interacting with the rest of the cast. She was a no show at Camille Grammer’s bridal shower and the rest of the ladies, of course, questioned her absence. These days, it seems that no one from the cast is in Camp Vanderpump. However, one former Housewife is showing her love for LVP and she isn’t shy about expressing her opinions about the rest of the cast, either.
In an interview with Daily Mail, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and LVP friend Joyce Giraud shared her thoughts on the season and showed support for LVP. Joyce said, “100% they are ganging up on Lisa. And it’s horrible to see. Any decent human being can see how terrible it is what the other women are doing to Lisa. This season of bullying is the worst because of what Lisa has been going through. She just lost her brother. She was enclosed in sadness. I don’t see how an entire group can gang up on her.”
That seems to be the million dollar question. Why would the other women choose to accuse LVP of planting stories in the press when she was at her most vulnerable? Did they think that they could take her down when her defenses were low? Did they wager that viewers would side with them? Or did they really not think at all? From what we see in social media comments, the ladies have likely overplayed their hand. Attacking someone while they are grieving does not sit well with many people.

Joyce also thinks that the planting of tabloid stories accusations should have stopped when LVP declared her innocence. Joyce stated, “The minute Lisa swore on her children, the discussion should have been dropped. She swore on her children’s lives. No mother would swear on her children’s lives.”
Apparently swearing on her children’s lives wasn’t enough for LVP’s co-stars. Maybe they would have been more impressed if she had offered to post a cash bond until her trial by a jury of her judgmental peers-Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, Rinna, Camille and Erika. So far, Denise Richards is on alternate juror status until she picks a lane!

Joyce also claims that during her time as a Housewife on Season 4, the rest of the cast was also ganging up on LVP. She revealed to DailyMail.com, “All the girls were trying to tell me Vanderpump was a bad person. Kyle kept trying to talk bad about Lisa on my season. Brandi (Glanville) even called me and said Lisa is very mean. But I kept saying, I don’t see it.”
And Joyce had more to say on the relationship between Kyle and LVP, who have been friends for over a decade. Joyce said, “I don’t think Kyle Richards is being a good friend. Kyle Richards is part of the group ganging up on her.” And when Joyce was asked why the other women are at odds with Lisa, she declared, “I think they are jealous. No other explanation. They want to bring the Queen Bee down. There’s not a single explanation to bringing someone down after they lost a brother.”

Could that be the reason behind all of this? Jealousy? Is LVP’s wealth, business success and popularity what is driving this? If it is, we will probably not hear it from the lips of any of LVP’s co-stars. As most of them are not shy about touting their own fabulousness!
Joyce also reveals that she and LVP have talked about her leaving the show. She shared, “We’ve had multiple discussions about her leaving. I can’t say where she’s leaning as friend, but yes…she’s considered it. But I’m her friend, I can’t say about that.”

Would LVP really leave the show? Compared to many other ladies, she does not seem to need the show for her livelihood. And LVP already has another Bravo show, Vanderpump Rules. Plus multiple successful businesses. And her wealth appears to be genuine, unlike some other ladies. I would dare to say that when filming ceases to be fun for her, LVP will no longer be a cast member And her absence would be a nearly impossible spot for Bravo to fill.
