Sonja Morgan is not one to stay silent on affairs of the heart. She seems to be a complete pragmatist on this topic but underneath all that reasoning, I suspect, is a true romantic.
Sonja shared her feelings about Real Housewives of New York co-star Bethenny Frankel’s love life.
The topic at hand was the tragic passing of Bethenny’s “person” Dennis Shields. She started dating shortly thereafter, which left the other Housewives, fans, and Bethenny herself questioning whether it was too early. The latest episode had a scene in which she was in turmoil on the issue while speaking with a grief counselor.
Sonja was asked if Bethenny needed that meeting in an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. She replied, “Bethenny lost Dennis; we were all devastated by that. Bethenny finds it very necessary. I’ve never seen a chick go to more counseling than Bethenny. So I don’t need to know. I just ask Bethenny what’s up, she just tells me.”
When asked if Bethenny moved on too quickly, Sonja said, “Not at all. I bless the Lord after all Bethenny went through that she had someone. Because it’s been rough.”

Sonja gives Paul Bernon the Morgan crest of approval. She remarked, “and to have someone to be there that’s a real man with a real job with a real life, real friends. That can be someone she can count on.”
Sonja admits being worried about Bethenny’s well-being. She said, “Dennis was a real rock. When she lost him, I was worried for her and Bryn. I didn’t want her to go in a deep depression and hole up in her house and be alone. That’s what I was afraid. Because when people go through a loss or through a depression this can happen.”
