Lisa Vanderpump Leaves Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Premiere Party Before Co-Stars Arrive

Premiere episodes of the Real Housewives shows are as varied as the ladies themselves. Some first episodes are tame, just updating the viewers on what shenanigans the Housewives have been up to in the offseason. Other premieres start off with drama right out of the gate-you know, the kind we prefer!

The premiere of Season 9 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a reason for viewers to celebrate. We were treated to cast updates, a hint of glamour, and more than a little drama. And just like viewers, the Real Housewives also get to celebrate the start of a new season. Although they are probably contractually obligated to do so. With free publicity, food, and cocktails thrown into the mix, of course.

According to an article from US Weekly, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast got together to celebrate the start of the new season at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood. A source said that Lisa Vanderpump arrived with her husband Ken Todd and their dog Harrison. After a series of press interviews, the couple quickly left before the other cast members arrived.

Considering how things went down in the first episode, who could blame Lisa for making a quick exit? Crafty Lisa probably knew none of the other ladies would arrive early to the party. Sometimes the best defense is a good offense!

Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave started arriving about 20 minutes later, an US Weekly source reported.  And being the ladies of Beverly, they had something to say about why Lisa wasn’t there. But could they really be surprised Lisa might not want to see them face-to-face?

Kyle told US Weekly that she “didn’t get a chance” to greet the couple. She added, “I was hoping to say hello and congratulations on Season 9, but she left already.” From what we know of the upcoming season, it is safe to assume that the only thing Lisa (and Ken-and probably Harrison, too!) want from Kyle at this point is for her to stop talking. To anyone who will listen about their feud. And from what we have seen in clips of the upcoming season, I am not sure “congratulations” would be appropriate.

When asked about Lisa, Teddi admitted, “It’s been a while” since she talked to Lisa. However, she insisted that she has not been purposely keeping her distance.

Teddi explained, “I am an adult and can be cordial. But I can’t speculate on how I’d act or feel if the person wasn’t there.” I have a feeling after watching last night’s episode that Teddi is no longer Lisa’s “Teddi Bear.” Or even her “lint-covered, at the bottom of her Prada purse gummi bear.” Which makes me sad.

Erika, being Erika, was not afraid to add her views to the mix. She told US Weekly, “I mean, I came in early.” Erika also added that she has not spoken to Lisa.

Erika remarked, “It is an all cast evening and, you know, she’s a professional, so…” I guess Erika wasn’t early enough as Lisa had already fled the scene.

At the show premiere party, it seems like the ladies were all on their best behavior. Fortunately, as Housewives fans, we know that won’t last! Here’s to a great season!
