To say it’s been a dramatic year for Luann de Lesseps would be a major understatement. She has gone through a divorce, an arrest, and rehab stint, and now a second rehab stint. What could be next? The big question now is will the Real Housewives of New York star serve any jail time? She wouldn’t be the first Real Housewife to do so.
According to an article from TMZ, the former countess is pleading guilty to three different charges stemming from her drunken Christmas Eve arrest. In exchange, she will not be taking on a felony charge- i.e. she would not have to go to jail.
Money can’t buy you class, but it can get you a great attorney- which Luann clearly has. She went from facing a felony charge for resisting a police officer with violence to pleading guilty to trespassing, batter, and disorderly intoxication charges.
The judge still needs to sign off on the plea deal, but if that happens Luann will be on probation for a year. This means that she will have to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings twice a week, complete 50 hours of community service, and submit to random testing for alcohol and drug consumption. She also has to write an apology letter to the police officer that she hit and I just hope that becomes public record because I would love to read that inevitable masterpiece.
