It is very tough being Jules Wainstein these days. The Real Housewives of New York newbie has been going through a lot of drama these days and I’m not even talking about anything that has to do with her co-stars. Sadly, Jules’s marriage with her husband Michael Wainstein has been crumbling in a very public way.
From the divorce announcement, to the cheating accusations, to the police involvement (twice), things have been getting extremely dramatic and it doesn’t look like that is going to stop any time soon. There are so many accusations coming her way these days, it’s a little difficult to keep it all straight.

I don’t know where to begin with the latest Jules news. Now, Jules is being accused of “faking” aspects of her divorce to enhance the show. This is kind of hard to believe since there is enough drama without “faking” anything, but then again, most of this happened after the season wrapped up filming.
According to RadarOnline, the “producers scrambled to include [the divorce] in the current season” since it is “a story line that exploded.” This claim doesn’t really surprise me: “Jules and Michael‘s divorce was finally interesting so the producers manipulated the scenes to fit into the narrative that he was the scoundrel in the relationship.” I’m sure that’s true, but I don’t know if I would say that constitutes “faking” a story.
However, if this is true, those claims of “fakery” would be pretty on point: “They were filming things in the last few weeks that weren’t part of the original season shot.” I take this to mean that she filmed additional scenes after the story broke to add to her story line. So if that’s true, that’s definitely a bit shady, but I can see why she would do that. She is about to be a single mom whose only job is being at the bottom of the totem pole for Real Housewives of New York. She needs to do something to stay on the show and earn more money.

In another attempt to seem more interesting than her portrayal on the show, RadarOnline quotes an “insider” who says that Jules hired a ghost writer to compose her Bravo blogs and then hired a second one in the middle of the season so she can sound more interesting. The supposed source said, “She doesn’t write her stuff herself. Please. That isn’t how she sounds.” That would honestly be hilarious if it was true. I don’t know why this is relevant other than justifying her need to be on the show, but I just thought it was a pretty random tidbit to include.
Aside from the bit of comic relief with the ghostwriter accusations, things have taken a serious turn for the worst for Jules. After police officers were called to the Wainstein home on Wednesday, August 10, no arrests were made, but a source confirms to E! News that Jules “was granted a temporary restraining order” against Michael.
The same source also made it a point to say, “She is a great mom who is just focused on her kids right now.” With the ongoing drama starting to take its toll, the source says Jules is “trying take the high road.” Ironically, this is the opposite of what her estranged husband Michael is putting out there because yes, there is even more drama involved with this split.
According to TMZ, Michael is about to turn up the heat by asking his attorney to prepare documents asking for primary custody of his two children. Not only that, but he wants an order to limit Jules to having supervised visits with the kids, which is a pretty severe thing to ask for. Why would Michael do this? The TMZ source alleges, “Michael will claim Jules is just too erratic to have the kids.”
And like clockwork, a little bit after that story broke, Jules posted a picture of herself hanging out with her son and daughter on Instagram.
Wow. This divorce has become very ugly and the Wainsteins didn’t even get to the part with actual divorce proceedings. Hopefully Jules and Michael are able to find some peaceful resolve for the sake of their children.
