First comes love, then comes marriage, wait, that’s not how it goes – at least not on Married At First Sight, that is. Instead, the show takes three couples, and matches them up in the hopes that they will find love, but there’s a catch. The couples don’t actually meet for the first time until they walk down the aisle. Crazy, right? Yeah, about as crazy as The Bachelor or any other reality show that feels speed dating is the best way to fall in love.
Now, if you’re one of the many fans of Married At First Sight, we’ve got some great news for you. It has been revealed that the show will return for a third season this December! That’s right, despite all of the drama surrounding season two, the show is not ready to give up the hunt to find perfectly matched couples who can find love.

The first season of Married At First Sight gave us hope that love could be found at first sight, since two of the couples remained together. But then season 2 came along, and left us all thinking that perhaps the matches on season one were nothing more than a fluke. Those feelings were only amplified when we learned that Jessica Castro and Ryan De Nino had split, with Jessica filing a restraining order against Ryan for some serious threats he made (threatening to kill her and her family).

But when at first (or second) you don’t succeed, try and try again. And now, according to an exclusive report from People Magazine, Married At First Sight is definitely coming back for a third season. The show will return in December will six more hopeful singles hoping to find love. This time around, the singles will be coming from Atlanta.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’ll also get updates on those season one couples that are still together. Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner, as well as Jason Carrion and Cortney Hendrix will all be starring in Married at First Sight: The First Year. The 2 hour season three premiere of Married At First Sight is set to air on December 1 at 9 p.m. on FYI.
