Lisa Vanderpump Explains Her Statements About Mauricio Allegedly Cheating On Kyle Richards

Lisa Vanderpump At Beverly Hills Nails

So Kyle Richards is finally the star of the storyline on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, except it's probably not for the reason she always hoped! Kyle has been in the spotlight over allegations that Mauricio Umansky cheated and because no press is bad press, she keeps talking… and talking… and talking… about a story that was probably planted to begin with she wants to die.

This week Kyle is taking umbrage that Lisa Vanderpump, the friend she doesn't really want anymore, hasn't been defending her enough in public or reaching out. Lisa made some less than supportive statements about how no one knows 100% what any husband is up to and we can't all be totally positive the rumors aren't true, and now she's defending her words.

Commenting that for someone who doesn't want to talk about it (Yeah, Kyle!) she's sure talking about it a lot, Lisa insists she had defended and supported Kyle.

In her Bravo Blog, Lisa reminds us that Kyle was the person who first brought up the tabloid rumors way back in episode one. "It was Kyle who initiated the tabloid conversation about her supposed pregnancy, which you keep seeing. I remember before I joked with Kyle I said. . .'Ugh its all ridiculous nonsense.' Now she felt the need to discuss my lack of support?"

And after the conversation Mauricio and Kyle had this episode, Lisa says, "I am glad I am alleviated from the responsibility of having to defend them. . .Fake support who says that?"

And Lisa knows first hand what it's like to have a tabloid print lies and receive no support. "When a magazine printed rumors about our marriage quoting Cedric, there was not a word in our defense," Lisa recalls. "I didn't look for it and I didn't expect it — because I gave it the credence it deserved — nothing."

"I find it odd that Kyle keeps singling me out? I was the only one who attempted to discredit it. Not one person including her sister, who was quiet at Carlton's lunch, supported her," Lisa says.

"But the very first time I was on the carpet and the first time since it was published that I was out in front of reporters, which was a month later, I stated, when asked, that I believed it to be utter bulls—. I chose that terminology as I knew it would be printed."

Lisa insists she has no interest in the bully nonsense. "I was only vaguely included in the 'bully story' that had been previous and had no need to defend myself. I absolutely said it in support of them. Damned if you do, damned if you don't."

As for why she sounded a bit dubious when speaking to Ken about Kyle's marriage, Lisa maintains she was just being honest. "Who does know what transpires in somebody's marriage? However I am adamant that what is printed in the tabloids is not to be relied on. Much has little merit. I have the sentiment that if Kyle doesn't believe it and he denies it, then that's good enough for me. Who cares what a tabloid says?"

"Can we as women state unequivocally that our husbands are faithful? Of course not! It would be foolish to," Lisa insists. "That is why I said to Ken I wouldn't even know for certain if he was playing around. I have never been given reason to think so, but I am not with him all hours of every day."

Moving on, Lisa discusses Brandi Glanville's reveal that she kissed co-star Carlton Gebbia.

"Brandi and I met up briefly at the bikini shop. In the midst of her trying on not very much, she states that she 'made out' with Carlton. . .I was stunned, firstly because she announced something so personal for the world to now know," Lisa admits.

Lisa also was concerned for Carlton. "I had no idea how Carlton as a mother and wife would feel about that. Was there not an unwritten code that one would not disclose that? That is between them and certainly not my battle. I imagine it was a frivolous moment, not that I have ever had any like that. But I would be more concerned with the lack of discretion and take note for the future," Lisa concludes.

Also, need I remind everyone that way back in season 1 CAMILLE GRAMMER, rather perniciously, first insinuated that Mauricio was cheating with nannies and the like. Lisa defended Kyle then and Kyle went on to become friends with Camille! So I guess that's forgivable…
