Kelendria Trene Rowland, born February 11, 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia, is a multifaceted American singer, actress, and television personality. She gained prominence in the late 1990s as a member of Destiny’s Child, one of the world’s best-selling girl groups. Following the group’s initial success, Rowland launched her solo career with her debut album “Simply Deep” in 2002, featuring the chart-topping single “Dilemma” with Nelly. This album achieved significant commercial success, selling over 3 million copies worldwide. During Destiny’s Child’s hiatus, Rowland diversified her career by venturing into acting. She starred in movies such as “Freddy vs. Jason” (2003) and “The Seat Filler” (2005). Post the group’s disbandment in 2006, Rowland continued her solo music career with her second album “Ms. Kelly” (2007), which included international hits like “Like This” featuring Eve and “Work.” Her collaboration with David Guetta on “When Love Takes Over” in 2009 marked a pivotal point, influencing her to explore electronic dance music in her subsequent album “Here I Am” (2011).
