Jeffrey Thomas Lewis, born on March 24, 1970, in Orange County, California, is a well-known real estate speculator, interior designer, and TV and radio personality. He is famous for his Bravo reality show “Flipping Out” and his radio show “Jeff Lewis Live.” Jeff is the oldest of three sons born to real estate investors Tom Lewis and Cathe Lewis. He attended Mater Dei High School and graduated from Chapman University in 1993. His mother passed away from cancer when he was 18, deeply affecting him. Jeff started his career as a real estate agent in California, successfully flipping homes in Los Angeles. One of his notable projects was a 4,300-square-foot contemporary home listed for $7,995,000 in 2018 and then for $6,995,000 in 2019. In 2009, Jeff started his own interior design firm. In 2010, House Beautiful featured his design for their “Kitchen of the Year” at Rockefeller Center. He also launched lines of home products like paints, rugs, tiles, and doors, becoming a design authority. “Flipping Out,” which began on July 31, 2007, made Jeff widely known. The show focused on his house-flipping and design business.
