Dr. Terry Dubrow Shoots Down Brandi Glanville’s Claims Her Face Is Caused by Parasites

The curious case of Brandi Glanville’s face continues. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been searching far and wide for answers about what caused her facial disfigurement. The latest theory is that there’s a parasite burrowing around in there somewhere. However, Dr. Terry Dubrow isn’t convinced. He’s worried about Brandi.

To be clear, Brandi didn’t ask Terry for his opinion. He’s just putting his thoughts out there into the ether like the rest of us. He saw the reports about Brandi’s potential parasite and decided to offer up his medical expertise. Let’s just hope he doesn’t try to bill Brandi’s insurance for this.

Dr. Terry Dubrow’s diagnosis

Brandi has blown through over $70,000 trying to get to the bottom of this mystery. She worked with numerous doctors, including an infectious disease specialist, an ENT, and a rheumatologist. After a variety of tests, they suggested it could be a parasite contracted in Morroco while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

“We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat,” Brandi recalled. “Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”

To get to the bottom of this medical marvel, TMZ spoke to Real Housewives of Orange County’s resident plastic surgeon. We don’t need Katie Ginella to tell us that he arranged this little interview. It’s clear from how eager and prepared Terry was to talk about Brandi’s case.

“I saw one of her interviews, and I’ve seen the picture where she was swollen, and the one where she was really deflated with the irregular skin,” Dr. Dubrow told the pap.

“What I’m concerned about in Brandi is that she has an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she’s had injected,” he continued.

According to Dr. Dubrow, the most important thing for Brandi to do right is to get an actual diagnosis. He wants her doctors to get serious because whatever is going on, it’s a “ticking time bomb.”

“She has to figure out if there’s a microorganism in there. It’s not going to be a ‘parasite.’ It’s not going to be from something she ate. It’s going to be from something that got into her bloodstream and seeded in her body.”

Although Terry seemed certain that it wasn’t a parasite causing Brandi’s problems, he didn’t rule out that there could be some sort of microorganisms in there. He said it could either be a microbacterium or a fungus.

Either way, he explained these issues can be difficult to treat, with some cases requiring a full year of antibiotics. He suggested that Brandi get a biopsy to help get an official diagnosis. Cut into it! Otherwise, he fears the issue could get worse.

With that in mind, he offered to help Brandi get to the root of the issue. The only catch — he’ll probably want to film it for his TV show. He thinks the next step is to get a biopsy to

“Brandi, if you can’t get a diagnosis and you need help, the Botched doctors are here for you,” Dr. Dubrow concluded.
