Forget what everyone says. Andy Cohen isn’t so bad after all! According to Jeff Lewis, the Watch What Happens Live host has been a treasure trove of good advice over the years. After all, he went from working behind the scenes at Bravo to basically being the entire face of the network.
With that in mind, Jeff shared some of the best advice he ever received from the man in charge. Honestly, we could probably all use these words of wisdom.
Andy Cohen knows best
Of course, it’s rich hearing positive stories about Andy while he’s being dragged into a lawsuit by Leah McSweeney. The former Real Housewives of New York star accused him of mistreating cast members and exchanging cocaine for positive edits.
Jeff, on the other hand, described Andy as a consummate professional with sound advice on navigating reality TV fame. During a recent episode of The Viall Files, Jeff reflected on the positive advice he got years ago when Flipping Out first launched.
“It’s the best advice Andy Cohen gave me, it was within the first two weeks of Flipping Out airing and people misunderstood me or they probably understood me and it was a lot of negative. And Andy’s like, ‘Stop. Stop reading. Don’t believe the good. Don’t believe the bad,’” said Jeff.
The real estate expert went on to say that he was never seeking “fame” with his reality TV show. Instead, he was just “hustling to make a buck.” It worked.
You’ll be able to see Jeff back in action on Bravo soon. Earlier this year, he revealed that Flipping Out would be returning for a reboot. However, don’t waste your time sending Jeff your thoughts about his behavior on the show. On the Viall Files, he insisted that he lives in a “bubble” and doesn’t let the mean comments get to him, per Andy’s advice.
“Sometimes people are wrong. But sometimes, I might get a negative comment and I’m like, ‘Well. Yeah. Might be right,’” Jeff joked.
