Hello, and welcome to the first annual Reality Tea Awards! Today, we’ll be looking at some of the best newbies on reality television stars for 2024, naming our top three nominees, along with our winner, as voted for by Reality Tea staff. Here at Reality Tea, we celebrate our TV stars for the entertainment they bring – so long as they don’t cross any major lines – so please know we’re lifting these personalities up rather than attempting to pull them down.

Nominee: Bozoma Saint John

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has only just started, but Bozoma Saint John is stealing the spotlight. The mother of one is an accomplished businessperson who isn’t afraid to take 90210 by storm. In the few short episodes that fans have seen her, she has opened up about the tragic loss of her husband, being a single parent, and preserving her career. Boz is the total package.

Bozoma is a great addition to the cast. She is smart, wealthy, can dress, and is not afraid to state her opinion. I think the interesting part will be seeing how her friendship with Dorit Kemsley blossoms. The rest of the women are already afraid that she might have drunk Dorit’s Kool-aid, but I think Boz is just looking to make genuine connections and not follow the herd. So, three cheers for Boz as we wait to see what else she brings to the franchise.

Nominee: Katie Ginella

Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County would have been nothing without Katie Ginella. This housewife came in hot and, right off the bat, targeted OG Heather Dubrow. I liked Katie from the start, especially since she seemed to be an open book. She revealed her interesting family dynamic after having going through a bad divorce. Katie and her husband, Matt Ginella, were the perfect match. Fans have gotten so used to toxic relationships that we forgot for a second what a good one looked like.

Sadly, her relationship with Fancy Pants never got a fair chance, but Katie seemed to understand the assignment. When Katie wasn’t fighting, she was defending Alexis Bellino against the online trolls. Honestly, this was God’s work because the haters never took a break. Even though Katie didn’t come out as the winner, she definitely deserved a second season on the Real Housewives of Orange County.

Nominee: Stacey Rusch

The newest addition to the Real Housewives of Potomac is either completely clueless about the Real Housewives or a robot. Either way, I am here for Stacey Rusch. The former QVC host is funny as hell and isn’t looking to impress others. The mother of one is navigating her separation while dating her “best friend,” TJ. Fans have had a hard time wrapping their minds around the idea that she and TJ don’t have sex and instead enjoy trips to the zoo.

But this just makes Stacey even more interesting. During the trip to Charlotte, she won over fans because of her lack of groove. At the time, she noted, “I don’t drop it like it’s hot. Shake that thang. I just move in the way the music tells me. I can get down. They’re saying that I’m stiff and I’m boring. But honestly, after dancing, I know I’ve changed their minds.” Stacey never holds back and says exactly what she is thinking, just in a very monotone way.

Winner: Bronwyn Newport

Our winner by a mile has to be the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Bronwyn Newport. I have to admit, at first, I wasn’t a fan of the pushy brunette who seemed to have an answer for everything. But B and her outfits (not costumes) grew on me. She is no one’s welcome mat and often finds herself in the middle of the fight just because she isn’t willing to be walked over. Bronwyn is highly relatable as she has opened up about her young pregnancy and marriage.

For me, Bronwyn is the most organic housewife fans have been given in a very long time. B’s life is genuinely interesting, minus Todd’s Starbucks cup collection, and she doesn’t need to mass-produce drama to entertain us all. This week, Bronwyn flipped so hard on Britani Bateman that it gave us whiplash and left us saying, Monica, who?

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Wednesdays on Bravo.
