How RHOP’s Mia Thornton Avoids Ex Gordon When She’s With Boyfriend Inc

It’s rare to find a harmonious divorce, but Mia Thornton is doing everything she can to get close.

The Real Housewives of Potomac star and husband Gordon Thornton announced their breakup a little over a year ago. It hasn’t been smooth sailing. But things got a bit messy with the almost immediate reveal that Mia had started dating Incognito (Inc), her former flame.

Thank goodness Mia is a hustler because she has found a way to juggle life with her ex and her new man.

Mia Thornton says, “We don’t see him”

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Mia explained that physical boundaries between the two men are key.

“They haven’t seen each other,” Mia stated. “I actually just revoked his access to my floor [when Inc is in town] so Gordon can’t come to my floor. That’s been a really great boundary because now I take the back service elevator, so I never run into him. We don’t see him.”

“We’re doing a better job of just kind of being mindful of [Gordon’s] feelings, which I don’t know how long I’m going to be doing that. But for now, that’s what’s working,” she added.

The former couple were married for 11 years and have two kids together.

Despite the complicated nature of a split, Mia is happy to report that things are in a good place with Gordon.

“We are actually doing a really good job. The kids are happy,” she shared. “Gordon is still very much in my building. I’m OK with it as long as there’s no negativity around it. I don’t like negative things. I’m a peace girl. I really do like peace. And as long as you’re coming with good energy, then you are always welcome in my corner suite. But the moment that it’s anything different and you try to control what’s going on in my corner suite, you have got to get out.”

Mia also noted that Gordon’s new love interest has likely contributed to cooling tension.

“I think he’s now distracted and he has his attention on someone else, which is great,” Mia concluded.

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Bravo Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
