Jagger Kemsley has been a real trooper this past month. His mother, Dorit Kemsley, shared details of the health scare that had him in the hospital for weeks.
For the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, it was most important to get the family together to celebrate Halloween, as Jagger was very excited to dress up. Dorit and her estranged husband PK Kemsley reunited for the festivities and shared their family costumes on Instagram.
Jagger “desperately wanted” to celebrate Halloween
Dorit’s 10-year-old son has been battling “septic hip.” Jagger endured two surgeries during his stay at the hospital. Doctors felt he was past the worst when a setback brought him back under care.
The RHOBH star shared details in an Instagram post. She wrote, “The past month has been very difficult for our family. Luckily, this incredibly brave, courageous little boy is a fighter (like Rocky, as he would say) and we were able to enjoy Halloween like he desperately wanted to.”
Dorit first shared news of her child’s diagnosis on October 15. At the time, she said Jagger was feeling “unwell for the last few weeks.” He was on the mend, before being hit with a setback in the days leading up to Halloween.
The Bravolebrity said it meant the world to their family that they were able to dress up together. As such, Dorit included a photo with the family dressed up as The Flintstones.
“That made this Halloween extra special for all of us,” she added.
According to the Mayo Clinic, septic hip is also known as septic arthritis. It is an infection that can occur if germs in the bloodstream latch onto the joint.
Finally, the reality TV star shared “all the love and support” with Jagger’s medical team. The “grateful” mother appreciated their care as they navigated her son through the illness.

Dorit’s estranged husband, PK, also made sure to thank his son’s doctors and nurses. He shared an Instagram post that read, “Mommy and Daddy have been with him in the wondeful [sic] @cedarssinai we wanted to publicly thank them and the Drs and Nurses … we are still here but he’s on the mend … he’s our Rocky … image was caught of him yawning … but I love the shot.”
Thankfully, Jagger is on the mend after receiving tons of medical support and all the love from his parents. Dorit shared how proud she was that he fought through it all.
“I’m in awe and so proud of our little munchkin, his strength, positive mindset and can do attitude he’s maintained through everything he’s been through,” she concluded her post. “Feeling blessed and hopeful that better days lay ahead. Yabadaba dooo from the Flintstones!”
