Say what you want about Joe Exotic, but the Tiger King star knows how to keep a man. He’s been married twice, and now, he’s getting ready to do it again.
While Joe is locked up in prison for plotting to murder Carole Baskin, he just confirmed that he is engaged to a man named Jorge Marquez. He’s a fellow inmate, and they’re planning to start a life together if and when they get out from behind bars.

When we first met Joe on Tiger King, he recounted the story of his late husband who died from an accidental gunshot wound. Then, he married a man named Dillon Passage. If you dig way back deep into those dark memories of 2020, you’ll recall him participating in the docuseries.
In 2021, Dillon filed for divorce and said that it wasn’t an “easy decision” to make. However, they realized that Joe’s 21-year prison sentence wasn’t the best thing for a blossoming romance.
With that in mind, Joe decided to look within the penal system for his next love. He shared the news of his engagement on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Meet Jorge Marquez he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico,” Joe announced.
Although the two are happily in love, Joe predicts that they’ll face an uphill battle to find their happy ending. Not only are they both behind bars, but Jorge isn’t a United States citizen.
“Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out,” Joe explained. “Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”
For those of you keeping track at home, this isn’t the first time Joe has been engaged while behind bars, Back in 2022, he supposedly dropped $11,500 on a custom tuxedo for his prison wedding to a man named John Graham. We’re not sure why that one didn’t work out, but Joe seems hopeful he and Jorge can go the distance.
