Lauri Peterson will always be a Real Housewives of Orange County OG. It’s hard to believe it’s been so many years since we watched her working for Vicki Gunvalson at Coto Insurance office before the franchise blew up to what it is today. It’s been several seasons since Lauri has held an orange or appeared on the show in any capacity, but she’ll always have a pivotal role in its lasting success. Once an OG of the OC, always an OG of the OC.
Lauri’s time on RHOC was anything but easy, and that’s putting it pretty lightly. A major struggle she dealt with was troubles with her son, Josh Waring. Josh has had trouble with the law and addiction that impacted several aspects of Lauri’s day-to-day life. Unfortunately, earlier this year, Lauri announced that her son had unexpectedly died at 35 after battling his personal demons. Now, there are some more concrete answers as to what happened on that heartbreaking day.
Gone, but not forgotten
TMZ spoke with the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Department to unveil Josh’s cause of death. Josh’s death was ruled “accidental,” and he died from the combined effects of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and olanzapine. It is horrible to hear this devastating confirmation and our hearts break for him.
When Lauri posted a memorial for her son a few months back on Instagram, she hinted that drugs played a factor in his death. Now, everyone has a concrete answer. We are thinking of Lauri and all of Josh’s loved ones as they grieve his death. Plus, we hope for nothing but health, happiness, and healing for them all as they go through this journey.
