Even though Danielle Cabral is only halfway through her second year as Real Housewives of New Jersey star, she is killing it. I wasn’t sure about the Staten Island native when she first appeared in Season 13. Danielle is loud and proud, and if you’re loud enough for NJ, you might need attention. This need for attention is precisely what Bravo looks for when casting new talent.

I’ll admit, I had my Jersey girl biased. And Sayerville isn’t exactly Bergen County (It’s Middlesex.), But if the town was good enough for a young Jon Bon Jovi it’s good enough for the Bravo franchise. So, after some deep thinking and reevaluation, I am starting to see why the mother of two is perfect for reality TV and all that comes with it.

Danielle Cabral is a fan favorite on RHONJ

Danielle is over the top, loud, and cuts to the chase. Naturally, this makes her a favorite amongst Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers. The Boujie Kidz owner is just living life in her own lane on the Jersey Turnpike and getting dragged into petty drama because she is naive. As fans, we can empathize with her. She makes no apologies for standing up for herself and forming her own opinions, even if, at times, they are wrong.

Most importantly, Danielle’s family life is enjoyable to watch. Her interactions with her husband and children give me old-school RHONJ vibes. It’s a breath of fresh air to see her getting them ready for school and having a healthy marriage. Danielle shows an array of emotions. And even though we are currently watching her be overdramatic, I think she has more to give.

Danielle Cabral is eager to make memorable moments

Love it or hate it, making made-for-TV moments is a part of Danielle’s job. And she does it well. She has called Rachel Fuda a “rat,” brought up rumors about Melissa Gorga cheating, and flipped out on the group for asking too many questions about her brother. There is no doubt that Danielle knows how to work the camera. Most recently, she was filmed shoving Jennifer Aydin

While violence should never be condoned, it’s literally half the reason fans tuned in to Season 14. The interaction was messy at best, but the shove heard around New Jersey brought life back into a failing season. Danielle knows what is needed to keep the franchise alive. I hope Bravo keeps her around during the reboot so we can watch her grow.

Danielle Cabral is familiar with scripted shows

Danielle is no newbie and is well acquainted with what it takes to be on reality TV. In 2006, she appeared on MTV’s True Life: I’m a Staten Island Girl. She revealed how she wanted to become a Hollywood actor during her episode. Even though her dream didn’t exactly come true, she still made it to the D-list. In my opinion, being on MTV prepared her for the role of Real Housewives star. The boutique owner was more than aware of how a show like Bravo’s would work. She knew what she was signing up for.

Danielle made calculated choices to progress her career with Bravo. Season 13 showed her fighting to be on Team Teresa. She sided with the OG in hopes of giving herself a storyline. Season 14 shows Danielle waking up to the fact that Tre isn’t the best leader to be following.

Now, she is moving back into the good graces of Rachel and Margaret Josephs. Not to mention her buddy-buddy relationship with Melissa. I love it all—the deceit, plotting, and bad acting. I was never expecting the new girls to do so well. But Danielle has stood out. At this point, I can even get past her over-extended hand gestures because she is good TV. Thanks to Danielle, I dare say Season 14 has become interesting. I hope she can continue this upward trajectory.

Real Housewives of New Jersey can be streamed on Peacock.
