Jennifer Pedranti put her financial woes on full display during the Season 18 premiere of Real Housewives of Orange County. She spent her first season defending her boyfriend (now fiancé) Ryan Boyajian.
Now, it seems Jennifer has to defend herself. She misstepped greatly with Gina Kirschenheiter. The mother-of-five was evicted from a home that the real estate agent set her up in for not paying her rent. Questions about Jen’s practical decision-making and work ethic have ignited within the group.
After the eviction, Jennifer moved her family in with Ryan. She felt she had no other option, and was hoping her children would accept the situation. Here is their reaction to the second episode of the season.
Jennifer was unsure about moving in with Ryan
In the RHOC episode that aired Thursday, July 18, Jennifer explained her decision during a confessional interview.
“I was scared to death to sit the kids down and tell them, ‘Hey, here’s option A: move in with Ryan, or here’s option B.’ And honestly, I didn’t even know what option B was,” she said.
Jennifer is then seen in conversation with the children she shares with her ex-husband, William Pedranti. There’s 17-year-old Dawson, 14-year-old Greyson, 12-year-old Everleigh, and 10-year-old Dominic.
“Do you know how long we’ll be at Ryan’s?” Dawson asked his mother. “Is it permanent?”
“I hope so,” Jennifer said.
“I just want to find somewhere and just actually call it home, not keep moving,” Everleigh added.
“That’s so hard to hear,” Jennifer responded through tears. “I want that too.”
Then the episode cut back to a confessional interview. Jen told producers that she felt sure moving in with Ryan was the right decision.
“I would do anything for my kids, and if moving in with Ryan was going to be a detriment to the kids and I, I’d live in the car,” she recalled. “But I’m grateful that the kids are on board in this decision-making of moving in with Ryan.”
