Why RHOC’s Return Will Ensure Summer Is Fun Again

It feels like we have been going through the longest drought in our lives as we waited not so patiently for the Real Housewives of Orange County to return to our screens. Bravo fans are readying the ark for the mass amount of drama that is inevitably going to shower us in the coming weeks. As we enter the dog days of summer I just know that my OC ladies are not going to disappoint. As Kyle Cooke would say, “Summer should be fun!” And indeed, I think it is about to warm up. Let’s take a look at why RHOC will chase away any summertime blues.

Fans get to learn etiquette from RHOC’s Heather!

Finally, Fancy Pants is back on my small screen. Even though she once faked a phone call to leave a party, I find Heather Dubrow genuinely smart, a great conversationalist, a good listener, and sharp as a tack! Without a doubt, I always learn something from Mrs. Dubrow, and as my mother says, “You’re never too old to learn something new.” For Season 18, I expect to learn how to show grace to those you might not like or want to tolerate. Heather, like many of the Real Housewives of Orange County, is exhausted by Shannon Beador’s antics.

Just like every year before, I suspect Heather will throw a bash or two, extending an invite to everyone. Honestly, that is just good manners. Heather’s ability to embrace the mantra of “chin up and carry on” always inspires me to be a better person, especially in these summer months when all I want to do is stay inside with the A/C and binge my Bravo shows. I can at least be at ease knowing that while watching Heather deal with the drama, I am still learning how to carry myself as a proper lady.

Fans get to watch the RHOC drama through Gina Kirschenheiter’s sober eyes

There is something to be said about having a sober witness to these Real Housewives of Orange County events. When all hell starts to break loose, it’s comforting knowing Gina Kirschenheiter will be able to recount the drama correctly. Most of the time, the ladies are knee-deep in champagne and often forget what ignited the fight in the first place. With the help of Gina, she will most likely be holding each lady accountable for their actions during Season 18. And I can only pray the camera crew is ready to break the fourth wall with her bombastic side-eye.

Shannon Beador’s RHOC apology tour

In October, Shannon was charged with a DUI where she was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and a second count of driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of more than .08%. Season 18 will be highlighting Shannon’s apology tour. A sneak peek of the premiere has already shown Shannon tearfully speaking with her three daughters and their dog, Archie. While no one wants to see Shannon crash and burn, viewers love a redemption arc, and this could be Shannon’s season.

RHOC alum Alexis Bellino with John Janssen

Everyone was thrilled when the news erupted that Alexis Bellino, was back for another round. But the cherry on top was learning she had fallen in love with Shannon’s ex, John Janssen.  The duo met at the Quiet Woman, Shannon’s favorite Newport Beach eatery, and have been inseparable. For a man who didn’t want to film the series, John now seems eager to film with Alexis. Naturally, this will be a point of contention.

Alexis hasn’t had the easiest road since her divorce. But her new relationship has me living for Season 18. The mother of three is already telling outlets she is thinking about a wedding before there has even been an engagement. Bring it on…

So bring on the summer’s main event, and don’t forget, RHOC can be streamed on Peacock.
