One of the RHONY reboot’s clear missions is to focus on high fashion. In addition to Jenna Lyons, and Season 15 newbie Rebecca Minkoff, there’s a new fashionista on the block. It was recently confirmed that Racquel Chevremont, a friend of Jenna’s, is officially joining Real Housewives of New York.
Like Jenna and Rebecca, Racquel’s been a fixture of the fashion world for decades. She started modeling in the 90s and still does today. Born in Brooklyn, and raised in The Bronx, she has a distinctly New York sense of style. Even when she’s not on the runway, Racquel is a regular at New York Fashion Week.
She’s also a force in the art world, as a renowned curator. She even curated the art collection of characters on Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That. So, Racquel has a great eye for what looks good. And this is clear from her fashion over the years. While we can’t wait to see what Racquel wears on RHONY, here are the standout fabulous and stylish outfits from her so far.
Racquel Chevremont is Chanel chic
Unlike a certain former RHONY star, Racquel loves Chanel. She is a regular at the classic brand’s events in the city. The curator wore this ensemble to the Chanel Tribeca Artist’s Dinner, an event she attended numerous times, on June 10, 2024. No word yet if she weighed in on last season’s RHONY Tribeca debate.
The sleek and sexy one-shoulder top is a unique twist on the brand’s signature blazer. It also perfectly suits her personal style, as Racquel loves an arm warmer or a long glove detail. She accessorized with one of Chanel’s iconic quilted leather handbags. At the same event last year, she wore a classic white tweed skirt suit, paired with a shock of bright purple eye shadow.
This outfit got plenty of love from her new RHONY co-stars when she shared it on Instagram. Sai De Silva, who regularly comments on Racquel’s Instagram, posted flame emojis. Jessel Tank wrote “Stun” while Erin Lichy left heart eyes. The post was also liked by actor and red-carpet style icon Colman Domingo.
Gorgeous in Gucci
Glancing through her red carpet fashion over the years, Racquel loves to switch between classically elegant and bold, attention-grabbing ensembles. She also loves to play with the established aesthetics of her favorite luxury brands, while adding her personal touch. For Gucci’s LACMA Art + Film gala, she sported the designer’s more playful styles. Maybe the California setting inspired her to wear such a bright and sunny color. She was near the famous Orange County, after all.
An orange sequin gown might scare some people off, but the newest RHONY housewife makes it look chic. With the neon shade and big bow detail, it’s unique but elegant, instead of juvenile or costumey. A royal purple clutch and silver shoes are extra fun details that successfully add pops of extra color without clashing. To quote a tried and true fashion bon mont, Racquel always wears the clothes, and the clothes never wear her.
Racquel Chevremont is garden party pretty
For the 2018 Museum of Modern Art garden party co-hosted by Carolina Herrera, Racquel wore a perfectly ladylike dress. Racquel, who is openly queer, attended the event with then-partner Mickalene Thomas.
The print of this tea-length dress is both classic and abstract. It has the feel of the illustrations you’d cherish in an old children’s book. It’s a print that’s worth a closer look to get a glance at all of the details. The cutout details and distressed hems add an extra modern touch. She could easily wear this dress again to grab lunch with the RHONY girls.
Racquel also knows how to accessorize any look perfectly. The gold jewelry and bag she’s wearing with this dress are stunning and elegant. Shout out to Mickalene’s gold shoes as well!
J’adore Dior
Racquel wore Dior from head to toe at the Paris Fashion Week show in 2019. And she looked unbelievably cool. You’d be forgiven for assuming she was walking in the show instead of attending. This is an outfit that screams “force in the high fashion world.”
The best part of this outfit is that you can tell how powerful and confident Racquel feels wearing it. In a skintight printed jumpsuit, a mesh anorak-style jacket, and combat boots, she looks commanding and badass. I’m sorry to be a broken record, but once again, her accessorizing is top-notch. I love how the design of her gold handchain bracelet reflects the jacket’s material.
Judging by photos from the event, it was also a rainy day. So Racquel managed to dress in high fashion but also weather-appropriate at the same time. Which is not an easy thing to do!

Racquel has always been that girl! This sequin tube top and cigarette pants look is from a modeling shoot she did back in 1992. She could wear this exact outfit today for a night out on the town and still look just as fabulous. The 90s are back in fashion, after all!
