Believe it or not, Gerry Turner is focusing on himself these days. After his failed Golden Bachelor marriage, the 72-year-old restaurant is trying to return to his real life. It’s been a whirlwind year for him with reality TV, marriage, and then an abrupt divorce, and now, he’s trying to be more intentional with his next move.
Gerry’s enjoying his single era before dating
The ink just dried on Theresa Nist and Gerry’s divorce papers, and TMZ caught up with him to ask about his current dating situation. According to him, he’s being flooded with suitors right now. Everyone wants a piece of the Golden Bachelor, but he doesn’t want a piece of them.
The outlet claimed that “interested women are sending him direct messages on social media, and even marching up to him in public spaces.” However, Gerry said he hasn’t followed up with a single one of these thirsty ladies throwing themselves at him. He doesn’t want to make the same mistakes twice.
The demise of the Golden Bachelor’s relationship with Theresa seemed to be the fact that they couldn’t agree on where to live. His roots are firmly planted in Indiana, and he said that he wants to make sure that any future ladies are on that same page. For that reason, he’s keeping his search semi-local. He also wants to make sure that his nest lady is adventurous and “able to be on the move.”
If anyone knows a lovely lady in Indiana who fits those qualifications, please don’t have her send Gerry a DM. He said he doesn’t like it when women make the first move and doesn’t respond to women who pursue him.
The key is to wait for him. Maybe try putting on something nice and showing up at his local bar. After all, before he briefly fell in love with Theresa, residents of his hometown said he used to frequently bring “multiple women” to the local watering hole.
