With all the hype about Lindsay Hubbard’s failed engagement to Carl Radke, and how the duo finally had their say during the Summer House reunion, one could forget some of the other conflicts that the PR guru had during Season 8.
All-in-all, it was a good season for the girls. Even Paige DeSorbo was getting on with Lindsay. Danielle Olivera made up with her former bestie, though it wasn’t without small betrayals along the way.
Now, the Donne application founder is reacting to Season 8 and giving an update on where she stands with Lindsay.
The “sisterhood is not there,” Danielle said of Lindsay
Danielle recalled the conversation Lindsay had with Paige early in the season when she told the fashion contributor that Danielle had indeed leaked a negative story about Craig Conover, Paige’s boyfriend.
“I think I took a step back a little bit after episode two. I think it was when she threw me under the bus. And I really didn’t love – it just said a lot for me,” Danielle told Life & Style.
“So, we’re good,” she added. “We’re on good terms. We’re texting, it’s a little bit lighter. You know – the sisterhood is not there. We just have a different relationship now and I think that’s the one that both of us are most comfortable with.”
Despite the change in dynamic, Danielle and Lindsay have made progress since Season 7, when the app founder questioned Lindsay and Carl’s relationship multiple times.
However, that didn’t stop Lindsay from telling Paige that her former bestie was the one to talk to the press. Though, Danielle did let her friend take the heat for it last season.
“You think that I’ve done stuff in the past that I haven’t done,” Lindsay said during the episode. “Like, you think I leaked that story about Craig, and it was Danielle.”
Danielle has processed the betrayal and is still hopeful to “grow” again in friendship with Lindsay.
“You know, maybe just a, maybe an international excursion is just what we need to get back to what it once was, but I don’t know yet,” she suggested.
It’s an opportunity to “change a lot of things.”
