Part I of the Summer House reunion ended on a sour note for Ciara Miller and West Wilson. The two were a hot topic of conversation this season. Their blossoming romance captured our hearts and we had high hopes for their future as a couple. They continued dating after filming wrapped but unfortunately, it didn’t last long. The romance came to an end in December 2023. West couldn’t commit and Ciara was left heartbroken.

At the reunion, Ciara spoke candidly about how her relationship with West ended. She told host Andy Cohen she felt as though she “got played” by her housemate. As usual, she handled her heartbreak like a boss. She kept her cool while letting West know he hurt her.

Here are all the reasons Ciara killed Part I of the reunion:

She killed him with kindness

Ciara had multiple opportunities to throw a dig at West throughout the reunion but she never took them. In Part I, West explained that his parents were disappointed he didn’t see it through because they love Ciara. Andy asked her if she was glad he was getting a “lashing from his parents.” Instead of answering with a snarky response, Ciara got emotional and didn’t answer the question. It was clear she still had feelings towards her co-star and wasn’t getting enjoyment out of his pain. Her kindness is shown at the reunion.

She was vulnerable

Ciara was open and honest about her feelings at the reunion. It was refreshing to see her be so vulnerable about how the breakup affected her. She revealed she and West began sleeping together in the fall and spoke about how that decision made the breakup harder.

“I’m just not out here sleeping with whoever,” she said. “I’m actually a lot more guarded and reserved for a reason. I don’t want to give myself to everyone. I really don’t.”

She continued, “I just don’t have the capacity to spread myself so thin. I do think it is like an important step. I was cautious for a reason.”

Her comments made an impact on her cast mates and viewers at home. Kyle Cooke even cried.

She was honest

It was easy to side with Ciara at the reunion because she was honest about her intentions the whole season. Unlike West who flip-flopped between wanting a girlfriend and wanting to be single. She told West she was an “intentional dater” and didn’t want to play games. She told him sex was a big deal to her and gave him a heads up that taking that step would deepen her feelings. He tried to downplay their relationship at the reunion but she was not having it. She revealed she met his parents, attended a wedding with him, and took a trip to visit his sibling. Yeah, that sounds like a relationship to me.

She kept it classy

While it’s fun to watch Bravo stars go off on their exes at reunions, I have to respect Ciara’s commitment to composure. She calmly explained how their romance ended and why she was hurt. Although she admitted she “felt played,” she also showed compassion towards her former fling. She stood up for herself but recognized that he is still a human and humans make mistakes.

She left the door open

In a sneak peek of Part II, Andy asked Ciara if there was any hope for a reconciliation between her and West. Fans expected that door to be completely shut but the Summer House star said there was still a chance.

“It would have to be a world of change,” she said. “I’m not holding my breath for anyone. I can’t sit here and say that I don’t still like him.”

I think Ciara handled the question perfectly. She let West know that her expectations and boundaries have not changed but she left a little wiggle room for a potential future together. West isn’t a bad guy. He just has a commitment issue. A lot can change in a year and who knows, maybe next summer he will come back a new man.
