Rachel Fuda may be fighting with some of her Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars, but one person she has bonded with is RHONJ producer, Maggie Langtry.
The friendship is a ray of sunshine in an otherwise toxic environment. Veteran cast member Teresa Giudice isn’t even filming with her brother or sister-in-law at this point. And Rachel is taking on fellow second-season star, Jennifer Fessler, for her shifting alliances.
Recently, Rachel and Maggie broke the fourth wall to speak directly to each other in a confessional. They spoke of how they met, and the shared experiences that brought them closer together.
Rachel described how “honesty” and a real “conversation” opened the door
Maggie started the conversation by bringing up the “similar stages of life” that helped her and Rachel “relate on a personal level.”
The duo met in September 2022, when both ladies were new to the show. RHONJ fans will recall how Rachel’s family was at the forefront of her confessionals.
“Last season, a lot of your personal story was your IVF journey. Fertility struggles. And I was going through IVF at the time,” the Bravo producer revealed.
Maggie added, “I hadn’t told a lot of my family, a lot of my friends that I was going through IVF, and I just word-vomited at you.”
“That to me, means the world,” the RHONJ star replied. “That you felt comfortable enough to come to me. And that just immediately bonded us. Because I feel like when that honesty and that conversation goes, it’s like, we’re friends now. We’re IVF buddies.”
Rachel spoke highly about the “cast-producer relationship,” saying that “you become friends.”
“You talk about things that are happening in your personal life. And that’s one of the reasons why I think our relationship is like propelled and accelerated is because you know the nooks and crannies of my life. It’s like being in therapy. You’re my producer-therapist,” she joked to Maggie.
Perhaps some of this positive energy could be transferred to the feuding cast members.
