Ariana Madix might have just landed herself on Scheana Shay’s sh-t list. The Vanderpump Rules castmates tried to navigate a friendship post-Scandoval this season. But can their friendship survive the fans’ criticism of the show?
In a recent Instagram fan poll, Ariana allegedly voted that VPR is done. Scheana expressed her dismay on a recent episode of her Scheananigans podcast.
Pump Rules is Scheana’s livelihood
“As her friend, I fully support her pursuing her dreams. I always have. I’ve said that multiple times,” Scheana started. “It’s like if Vanderpump Rules and reality TV no longer serve her, then on to the next thing. She’s going back to Broadway. She’s doing Love Island.”
But the OG Pump Rules thinks that Ariana should be the one to go if she’s not interested in filming. “She has so many amazing things lined up. I don’t even know what else is in the pipeline for her, but I’m sure many more amazing things. So if it’s time to move on, it’s like I completely get it,” Scheana explained.
Regardless of Ariana’s take on the future of the show, Scheana thinks Ariana should stay in her lane given that the show is still the bread and butter for the rest of the cast.
“As her coworker, if this is true, I mean, it’s kind of frustrating that she would advocate for the end of a work project that is a big part of my business and what Lala [Kent] and I as moms do to support our families,” Scheana shared. “So that’s what’s tricky too with this show is our life is our job and our job is our life.”
Even so, it’s hard for the mother-of-one to reconcile her feelings for Ariana. Scheana added, “And as a friend, I understand and respect boundaries. As your coworker, there can be moments where it’s frustrating. So that’s how I feel about that.”
The Vanderpump Rules reunion continues Tuesday at 8/7c on Bravo.
