The Shortest Bachelor Nation Relationships

The Bachelor franchise has produced dozens of relationships throughout the years, although many of them unfortunately didn’t last. While some of these doomed relationships went on for years, others only lasted a matter of months. These six relationships are the shortest Bachelor Nation has ever seen. Get ready, there’s a pattern here!

Jordan Kimball & Jenna Cooper

Jordan Kimball and Jenna Cooper got engaged during the finale of Bachelor in Paradise Season 5. While it seemed like the former couple would have a fairy tale ending to their Paradise love story, what happened next was anything but that.

Just one day after the finale aired, fake messages surfaced which claimed that Jenna was flirting with another man. This was ultimately not the case, but it was enough for their relationship to end after just one day in the public eye. Unfortunately, this seems to be a curse commonly affiliated with BIP. More on that in a second!

Peter Weber & Madison Prewett

Peter Weber fell hard for Madison Prewett during The Bachelor Season 24, although their journey was complicated. After learning that Peter had been intimate during fantasy suites, Madison ultimately decided to self-eliminate. At this point, Hannah Ann Sluss was the only woman remaining, and Peter proposed to her. Later on, however, he decided he still loved Madison and broke up with Hannah Ann.

During After The Final Rose, it was revealed that Peter reached out to Madison after his split from Hannah Ann. Ultimately, the two rekindled and decided to give their relationship another try. The next day, however, they announced that after discussing things further, they didn’t feel like things would work. This relationship is another one that crashed after only a day in public, is it a Bachelor Nation curse?

Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist

While Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist lasted the longest out of anyone on this list, the circumstances of their split earned them a spot on it. Gerry and Theresa got engaged during the finale of The Golden Bachelor, after falling madly in love. The pair was so infatuated with one another that they even decided to get married right away. In January 2024, Bachelor Nation gathered for their historic Golden wedding.

Only three months after getting married, however, Gerry and Theresa announced that they decided to get a divorce. While their relationship notably lasted several months before marriage, this was arguably the shortest marriage Bachelor Nation has ever seen. This split came as a shock, as viewers had high hopes for this couple.

Aven Jones & Kylee Russell

Remember when I said Bachelor Nation might have a curse? There was definitely something in the air during BIP Season 9, as this happened with all three of the final couples. The most shocking split from the season took place between Aven Jones and Kylee Russell. Aven and Kylee seemed like the perfect match at first, as they were one of the most solid couples all season.

At the end of Season 9, Aven and Kylee left as a couple as Aven wasn’t ready to get engaged. After hard-launching their relationship following the airing of the finale, Kylee received multiple messages informing her of Aven’s infidelity. This ultimately led to the former couple splitting, again just two days after going public.

Aaron Bryant & Eliza Isichei

Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei were another couple who fell victim to the BIP Season 9 curse. The former couple had a strong bond all season and even got engaged during the finale. Aaron and Eliza split some time between filming and the finale airing, as they too announced their breakup right after the season ended. Unlike Aven and Kylee, Aaron and Eliza stated that they amicably split.

Kat Izzo & John Henry Spurlock

The final failed couple to come from BIP Season 9 was Kat Izzo and John Henry Spurlock. This was a surprising match, as both Kat and John Henry explored several other relationships on the beach before coming together. It was a shock when they got engaged, as they had not been together as long as the other two couples. Once again, only a few days after the finale aired, Kat and John Henry announced that they had mutually decided to part ways.
