Lisa Vanderpump had a lot of personal investment in Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s marriage. And after hearing they’re possibly headed for divorce street, the Bravo vet revealed her true feelings about the matter.
In an interview with Life & Style, Lisa said she was “sorry to see” the current state of Jax and Brittany’s marriage. “I mean, you know, it’s common divorce nowadays. And if you’d look at potentially two young reality stars probably have less of a chance of it being successful than most people,” she said. “But when you have a baby and I think she really wanted that kind of, you know, relationship.”
She later said that after knowing Jax for several years, she’s sure he’s been far from the greatest spouse. In fact, she said she can’t “imagine Jax” has been “perfect.” She added, “I’ve been married for 42 years. I have a lot of that. I think marriage is push and pull. You know, it’s about having a sense of humor. It’s about forgiveness. It’s about getting it wrong sometimes.”

The latest episodes have featured the usual Jax — stirring up trouble, making personal jabs, and doing everything except taking accountability. Brittany revealed in early February that she moved out of their home for the sake of her mental health. And today, she’s in a much better place, saying, “I feel good.”
Despite living in an Airbnb for now, Brittany is still unsure if she and Jax will end up together forever. “I’ve forgiven for things that I shouldn’t have over the past years, but I just have always loved him so much and stood by him no matter what,” she explained. “I definitely think about [divorce], but I’m just not there yet.”
The reality star said she goes back and forth with the idea, but having her son, Cruz, makes it more difficult. “Some days I’m like, ‘Never coming back,’ and then other times I’m like, ‘We’ll see what happens.’ So it’s all up in that air right now.”
