Jimmy Kimmel, the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live, is a Dancing with the Stars fanatic. He often makes predictions for the season on his show. Let’s face it. His success rate is pretty low. But he still has a blast interviewing DWTS contestants.
It was amusing when The Hills alum Kristin Cavallari was a guest on the comedian’s late-night gig. She wondered why she got the boot following the Most Memorable Year performances. “Maybe I didn’t have a good enough story,” she said. “Mine was I graduated from high school and moved to L.A.” Her story was relatable but didn’t pull at the heartstrings.
During Season 16 of DWTS, actress Zendaya Coleman partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy. The DWTS pair stood out thanks to their blend of technical precision and artistry. The duo was a crowd-pleaser, and 16-year-old Zendaya was favored to win. She didn’t, nabbing second place instead. Singer Kellie Pickler won the Mirrorball with her partner, Derek Hough.
Jimmy is a betting man
When Zendaya was recently a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host surprised her. Jimmy revealed that he had a side hustle betting on DWTS. Who knew? Zendaya reminisced that her first time on the show, she was a cast member on DWTS.
“I bet quite a bit of money on you and won quite a bit of money on you,” the late-night host said. Zendaya replied that she “didn’t win” the competition, but “got pretty far.” I’d say second place is amazing!
“Can I tell you, I think I won $12,000?” Jimmy revealed. “What??” a stunned Zendaya responded. “Well, you’re welcome!” she added.
Now Zendaya has a flourishing acting career. She appeared in the drama Euphoria as well as the films Dune and Spiderman.
Let’s see who Jimmy selects for his pick to win Season 33 of DWTS.
Season 33 of DWTS will likely return in the fall of 2024.
