Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s relationship started on Vanderpump Rules. The duo share a son. Cruz. And now their marriage is falling apart on their new show, The Valley. Brittany has been pretty open about the issues in her marriage. “Jax can be really hard on me. He kind of puts me down a lot,” she shared.
After a big argument, Brittany moved out of their home and into an Airbnb. “It was super important for me to get out of a toxic situation,” she shared. The couple also “never have sex.” That was a shock considering Jax’s pre-marital history as a cheating ladies’ man. Thankfully, Brittany’s former co-stars, including Ariana Madix, have been supporting her.
Brittany is grateful for her Pump Rules friends
Brittany and Kristen Doute spoke to Bravo’s The Daily Dish about their former Pump Rules co-stars. “I’m closer to Lala [Kent] and Scheana [Shay] than probably anyone else and Tom Schwartz. They’re probably the closest in my life,” Brittany stated. Scheana, Lala, and Brittany often get together with their children. She said, “Nothing’s changed there — whatsoever, just ‘cause we don’t film together, we’re all still best friends.” Brittany may not be as close with the whole VPR crew, but she has “love for all of them.”
And Ariana has also been keeping tabs on Brittany. “Ariana’s been checking in on me from New York and that means a lot to me ‘cause I know she’s so busy with the show and stuff,” Brittany said. “But she’s definitely been checking in on me.”
Meanwhile, Kristen doesn’t feel the love for the entire Pump Rules cast. “I love most of them. I agree with Brittany … I’m not as close to everybody as I used to be, but that’s OK because lives are changing,” Kristen explained. Kristen is still friends with Scheana, Ariana, and Schwartzy.
And another former co-star of Kristen’s is living a stone’s throw away. “Katie [Maloney] lives down the hall from me. We’re not super close, but we’re — like, I still care about her deeply,” she said of the former Witches of WeHo member.
Vanderpump Rules continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, while The Valley airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
