Welcome back to the Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 11 recap. Last time, Ariana blasted Sandoval for endangering her dog, Mya, and blowing up her life. This week’s episode, titled “May the Best Woman Win,” features Schwartz and Katie competing for the attention of the same woman. Ariana is tired of Sandoval dragging her
Well, VPR picked up at Venice Beach, with Ariana furious that her friends keep bringing her face to face with Sandoval. When Brock said that they were “both going tit for tat,” Ariana exclaimed that she never did anything to hurt Sandoval. So, she is entitled to her feelings.
“This man not only tried to ruin me, but now he is saying everything he possibly can to make me seem like a horrible partner,” Ariana said in a confessional. She was hurt that her friends weren’t checking Sandoval for bad-mouthing her.
Schwartz decided to take Sandoval to a bar, much to Ariana’s relief. As viewers, we have to remember that this was filmed months after their break-up. It seems like Ariana hasn’t dealt with her feelings, and Sandoval isn’t accepting much responsibility for his actions. At the bar, Sandoval complained that purchasing Mya was the only time that Ariana ever paid for anything. Can somebody play him the clips of the show last week, where Ariana went through all of the furniture she’d paid for?
Katie and Schwartz compete
Meanwhile, back on the beach, Scheana shared that Tori Keeth, her friend and former nanny, was meeting them at the bar. James said that Schwartz was interested in Tori, which elicited a laugh from both Katie and Scheana.
Scheana tried to set up Schwartz with Tori. I mean, look how setting up Schwartz and Rachel Leviss worked out. Scheana introduced Schwartz to her friend a few days earlier. And Tori told Schwartz, “Just so you know, I think you’re hot.”
But there was a surprising twist in Scheana’s matchmaking plan. “Clearly I misjudged things because when Katie heard about it, she was like, ‘um, no, Tori should date me instead.’ But look, all is fair in love and war, and with Katie and Schwartz, that’s really all you get,” Scheana said.
Tori finally made her entrance when Sandoval and Schwartz were doing shots with some ladies. “My god, my girlfriend’s here!” Schwartz exclaimed when she sat next to him, facing his back. “Are you going to involve me in your f—king conversation?” Tori asked, sparking laughter among the group as she introduced herself.
Then Schwartz forgot that she loves champagne and asked if she wanted a tequila. Dude. I’m secondhand embarrassed for you right now. Schwartz was shocked that Tori was interested in him. He always thought that she was “super cute, super fly.”
And Tori is direct, which I like. She asked Schwartz if he was going to ask her on a date. He did, and then Katie joined Tori and the gang. In his confessional, Schwartz remarked, “What a little c-ck-blocker.”
Katie doesn’t think she has any competition
Katie had an answer for her ex-husband in her confessional. “If he doesn’t like me taking his girls from him, maybe he should try harder,” she stated. Schwartz abandoned Tori to hang at the next table with Sandoval and a bevy of ladies.
Then Tori asked Katie if she’d ever been in a relationship with a woman. She hasn’t, but she has had sex with a woman. Still, Katie doesn’t want to put a label on herself.
Tori admitted that she was nervous and said that she wanted to kiss Katie. They did, and they were both vibing.
Ariana opens up
Lala and Scheana had a heart-to-heart with Ariana about her unresolved feelings for Sandoval. Ariana admitted that her anger level towards her ex wasn’t good for her. But she knew that he would never apologize and own his behavior and affair with Rachel.
In a poignant moment, Lala asked Ariana, “Do you almost feel like when you’re looking at him, that’s it like ‘You just like threw me away like I was just, like, nothing.’” Ariana nodded.
Lala and Scheana embraced Ariana as she cried. She knows that she has to leave her dream home, but it still hurts.
Lala has a question for Jo
Lala and Jo Wenberg met up at a hot dog stand for lunch. Lala said that she noticed how uncomfortable Jo was at Hotel Ziggy when her other costars were glaring at her.
“I see how much Schwartz loves his friends and I wanna be welcomed into the group if I wanna be a part of Schwartz’s life forever,” Jo said in her confessional. Schwartz and Jo are not on the same page.
Lala asked Jo point blank if she knew about Rachel and Sandoval’s affair. She did hang out with them a couple of times, but she was focused only on Schwartz. She assumed that Ariana and Sandoval had broken up.
A brand-new Schwartz
Schwartz went to see Jo at the hair salon where she works. Schwartz told Jo to do whatever she wanted to his tresses. Well, that explains how this bleached hairstyle went down.
Schwartz filled Jo in about his date with Tori. But while Schwartz was getting his mid-life crisis makeover, Katie and Tori were on a date.
Schwartzy admitted that Tori liked Katie more than him. Then he leaked the info that he and Sandoval were going to a singles mixer. Jo wanted to go, and Schwartz reluctantly agreed.
Is Schwartz single and ready to mingle?
Sandoval, Kyle Chan, and Sandoval’s assistant, Craig, showed up. I guess Ann Maddox is done working for Sandoval. May the force be with you, Craig.
When Jo saw that Schwartz gave his hat to an attractive woman, she told him he didn’t have another one. This evening is going to end in heartbreak for Jo. Sure enough, she saw Schwartz kissing the other girl. She thought that they were going to the function to hold Sandoval’s hand.
And Jo dropped a bomb in her confessional. “The truth is that we are still hooking up. We’ve said, ‘I love you’ to each other,” she revealed. So, why is he keeping his relationship a secret from his friends?
A girls’ night fight
Lala, Scheana, Ariana, and Katie hit a bar for a girls’ night out. As they discussed how weird it was for Katie to bang Schwartz’s best friend, Max Boyens, and then date the same woman that Schwartz dated the night before, Katie had a simple answer. “Tequila Katie’s a ho.”
Once the topic of Lala’s lunch with Jo came up, Katie was enraged. “You don’t have any relationship with this girl. You don’t know this girl. This girl is nothing to you,” Katie told Lala. “I’m something to you.”
When Katie opined that Lala’s decisions weren’t adding up for her, Lala replied, “I don’t care. It’s not my job for my life to make sense to you.” Lala pointed out that Katie was still holding onto Rachel and Jo hooking up with Schwartz, and she needed to “let it go.” Good luck with that, Lala.
Schwartz and Jo make a decision
Schwartz came home and Jo just happened to be in his apartment. He asked her if he had sent her mixed signals. Duh! Then he launched into how he doesn’t want to be in a relationship at all, and how he is dating other people. Yet, Schwartz wanted to know if their friends-with-benefits “situationship” could continue, and she said no. Good for her!
She admitted that she had feelings for Schwartz. And while he does have feelings for her, he isn’t ready to be in a relationship. Then Jo started crying before leaving the apartment.
