During the Season 13 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, there were some surprises. One was when RHOBH alum Kathy Hilton joined the cast. The next was when Sutton Stracke suffered a scary medical emergency. She was eventually taken to the hospital, with bestie Garcelle Beauvais by her side. Sutton later shared that she was suffering from dehydration, bronchitis, and exhaustion.
But Kathy was criticized for her demeanor during Sutton’s health scare. When Sutton complained of feeling hot, Kathy instantly diagnosed her with a “hot flash.” I guess everyone in this franchise has medical training. “Sutton, you’re 49 years old,” she stated. “It’s bound to happen.” Then she chatted with Erika Jayne, barely paying attention to Sutton. She even hinted to her sister, Kyle Richards, that Sutton was faking it. “I was about to [go after her]. I think she knew it,” Kathy said. “It’s a good way to get out of being here,” she told Erika.
During an Instagram Live in March, Sutton and Kathy smoothed things over. “So that y’all don’t get confused. I love Kathy and I was not afraid of her at the reunion. I just want to make sure that we are clear on that,” Sutton explained.
Kathy was afraid of Sutton before the Season 11 RHOBH reunion
During the same Instagram Live, Kathy dished on her history with Sutton. Kathy and her box fan landed a friend of the housewives role during Season 11. It was also Sutton’s first season as a diamond-holder. She joined in Season 10 in a friend role. And Kathy was part of the epic four-part Season 11 reunion.
But she was afraid of Sutton. Kathy saw Sutton a couple of weeks before the dreaded reunion at a social gathering. “We’d known each other from charity events — so I’m going to the reunion my first season, so [Sutton] joked with me, she said, ‘I’m gonna come and get ya,'” Kathy explained. “Do you remember that?”
Sutton couldn’t remember the incident, but Kathy clearly never forgot it. “Oh my god, that scared me,” she said. Kathy was part of the Season 13 reunion to offer her sister, Kyle, support. Again, I’m not sure why housewives need support from family or friends at the reunion. Just get a face roller like Sutton had. Easy peasy!
