Just when we thought she was taking some time out of the public eye, Monica Garcia is making headlines once again, this time for claims related to Jen Shah.
As Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans know, Monica was Jen’s assistant before turning her in to authorities. In the ultimate usurping, Monica would take her former employer’s spot on Housewives as a full-time Housewife. Things became even crazier from there, with Monica later being exposed for co-running an Instagram page dedicated to taking Jen down. The RHOSLC cast also alleged it would come for them and their families, but were lacking in evidence to support that.
Monica claimed Jen was the primary target with the other women being “collateral damage.” Following a brief press tour shortly after Season 4, it seemed Monica was going to focus on club appearances and fan interactions. Recently, however, she reflected on EVERYTHING with none other than Melissa Rivers. This time, with particular focus on her time with Jen.
Monica reveals her motivation for turning in Jen
On March 22, Monica discussed the tipping point – the point at which she felt she had to report Jen to authorities. “There were two nights in particular that happened. Jen Shah threw things at me,” Monica revealed. “Like, literally, she physically picked up glass items and chucked them at me.”
Melissa asked if that was something Jen would only do to an employee and not a friend. “I hope not. But I don’t know. I mean, Heather [Gay] was just her friend and she punched her square in the face,” Monica responded, referring to the black eye allegations. Monica continued with her story, saying she decided to go to the authorities after Jen told her about her business.
Melissa wondered out loud if Monica reported Jen due to a personal vendetta or the desire to stop Jen from hurting people. “It was all of that,” Monica admitted. “It was, ‘You’re a piece of sh*t person to my friends, you’re a piece of sh*t person to me, and you’re a piece of sh*t person to all these elderly [people] you are completely f*cking over and stealing from.’”
Now we just have to wait for Jen’s rebuttal. Despite being behind bars, she always seems to have the last say…
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is available to stream on Peacock.
