Margaret Josephs and her mom, Marge Sr., were called out on ABC’s popular workplace sitcom Abbott Elementary. And they weren’t the only Real Housewives of New Jersey stars to be namedropped, with Teresa Giudice’s name thrown out as well.
A recent episode of Abbott Elementary saw Lisa Ann Walter’s character, Melissa, bonding with Chris Perfetti’s character, Jacob, over their shared love of RHONJ. “I have got to know who called the feds on Teresa,” Melissa expressed. Jacob responded with, “The hubris alone. And what’s up with Marge? Always changing up her story.”
“Because she is sneaky,” Walter’s character said. “As hell,” Perfetti’s agreed. Later, the two poured sour cream and onion seasoning on their popcorn, calling it “salty and playful, like Marge Sr.” Now, the Marges have responded.
Margaret takes ABC’s roasts in stride
On March 16, Margaret shared a TikTok featuring the clip from Abbott. The video saw Margaret on the couch with her mother, Marge Sr., as the two enjoyed the light roasting from the ABC sitcom. The video opened with text on screen reading, “When they are talking about you on your favorite TV show.”
When Chris Perfetti’s character mentioned RHONJ, Margaret said, “I love that!” with her mother agreeing, “Me too.” Margaret’s jaw then dropped at the accusation that she was “always changing up her story.” She questioned the phrase, “Sneaky as hell?” In reply, her mother said, “When you were a little kid you were sneaky.”
To conclude, when the show referred to Marge Sr. as “salty and playful,” the woman herself asked, “Salty?” with faux offense. Margaret reminded her, “And playful.” The official Bravo account commented on the TikTok, writing, “We love to see this crossover.”
Margaret captioned the video by writing, “I guess me and @MargeSr got schooled [laughing emojis] honored and thrilled to be a part of last nights episode of @Abbott Elementary . Look Ma we made it.” Maybe we’ll see some more sneaky behavior in the next season of New Jersey.
